Kevin was paid to perform a service call to troubleshoot my tankless water heater ignition issues. After 5 minutes of chit chat and him telling me how bad and old our unit is, I let him begin. After a 10 minute phone conversation with Noritz tech support, he informed me that three pieces needed replacing after I had already told him it is one of those three things having called and tech support troubleshooted myself. He told me this was going to cost over $550. I kindly said no and I'll talk with my wife. Luckily, after Kevin left, my Noritz tech support called to see how things went. I told him that your company chatted on tech support for ten minutes and said things needed to be replaced that had nothing to do with the issue and sent me the links to what I needed. I am quite irritated that I basically tossed $175 into the trash(your company). I would love to see the itemized estimate and how he came up with $550 more on top of the ridiculous service call fee.
