I used to be a project manager and Licensed Professional Engineer in mechanical engineering in building construction. Our home was a challange due to confined access to the house. We live in a rural off-road area. The quality of work and materials were as promised. There was some slight damage to the house due to tight access. There was also what we call "hidden conditions" requiring additional cost. This is standard for renovations and I always advised my customers to add an additional allowance to the budget/quoted price. The only area I would call "needs improvement" would be communications. From the time the agreement was signed until work started I was not sure who to talk to for coordination. That person was identified once construction started. But that person was not on site all of the time but available by phone. The crew did not speak English. I would have preferred to have at least one person who spoke English to be onsite during construction work time. Would I hire them again? Yes. But i would caution the home owner that an understanding of construction problems helps greatly in understanding the workers problems and makes for better coordination.

Good workers, Were here Monday, Tuesday and this morning, to finish up and clean up. I went around the house this morning and it looks great.

I have mixed emotions about this project. Yall had the best price and we really liked our project supervisor; however, quality control and communication were very poor. A lot of mistakes had to be corrected and redone by another crew. Also, we could never get communication about what was going on. There was no sight supervision and even the 2nd crew leader said what did they do, send a bunch of rookies? The 2nd crew from Houston was awesome. I would never use or recommend the original crew. They left litter, trash, nails, singles, and staples all over the yard. They even left the Dish equipment hanging off the roof over on the side of the house. Overall disappointed with the quality of construction, site supervision, and communication.

Had a rough start: the roofing materials were supposed to be delivered the day before re-re-roofing began, but they did not arrive until noon after the roofing crew started. The project supervisor (Taylor never showed up or tried to contact us...so the crew worked without a supervisor on-site until another supervisor (Jonathan) showed up 6pm the first day. ...that said, the crew seemed experienced and knew what to do. Jonathan (I am guessing called into sub for Taylor) was apologetic and very helpful in answering our questions, and was on hand the second day for a walk around when the crew was nearly finished (he had to travel so could not be present when the crew finished.) The crew worked hard...some going to 8:45pm when it became too dark to work on the first day. The results look good (to my eyes). Clean up was pretty good (though we will be picking up small pieces of shingles and tar paper for some time...anything too small to be raked. The crew moved a few patio stones to use as weight for their tarps in the wind, and though Jonathan tried, they did not get reset in their original positions correctly. The roofing project included re-roofing a small shed. More repairs to the roof rafters and decking were found to be necessary than originally estimated, but the crew dealt with getting the additional materials needed and handled the repairs nicely. I would say we were fortunate to have a good crew, making up for other problems.

Great experience from start to finish. Blake assisted with measurements and quotes. The young woman in the San Antonio office was excellent. We had a false start and she kept us informed and we were rescheduled later that week. If I could have changed one thing it would have been our communication related to opening an insurance claim and how that could be interwoven with the installation and payment process. I would have appreciated more assistance in that area. The install was good and the roof looks great.

Bunch of unskilled people working really fast. Only one guy who spoke any English.

Genuine Texas roofing was an awesome fit for me. They were very meticulous. They were very easy to work and courteous they cleaned up after their job which was fantastic. They had great competitive pricing. I would recommend them to anyone that's looking to have roofing replaced and or repaired.
