"This customer was one of the most difficult customers I have ever worked with. His lack of comprehension was astonishing. We would certainly never work for him again and I would advise any contractor to avoid him at all cost. In the end as with all our customers he received a top quality remodel despite his constant undermining. He was convinced at every turn he knew more than we did, and actually talked the tile setter into altering the footprint of the shower pan making it almost impossible to install a frameless shower at all. I just can't say enough to convey the nightmare this guy was. I know we are supposed to avoid saying things in this manner but I feel it is fair and necessary in this case to tell it like it is."
"The cabinets we supplied were clearly listed in the sales agreement. We did discuss all plywood cabinets but this customer decided on particle board sides because of budget restraints. We did explain that the cabinets that they got would perform very well and have a limited lifetime warranty. Installation did take a week, the unexpected repair to the walls behind the cabinets did take about a week and one half to schedule and finish. It also took about 4 weeks for the cabinets to come in as was explained to the customer. The plumbing work that had to be fixed was to place a wire for the touch faucet in the right place so the faucet would function properly. If the wiring had been left alone in the 1st place this would not have been a problem. The customer demanded that I change the beige outlets to dark ones, I did just to make peace. He said he meant black not brown but would change them himself. We did top quality work at a very reasonable price. In any design process we discuss every option, but in the end what makes it to the contract is what we provide. We try very very hard to be sure everything has been explained and included but please read your contract carefully and be sure that we have included everything that you want. With all due respect we hope that this customer is enjoying their new kitchen."
