Kirby Electric is a small family company that has serviced Brevard for 30 years. We work hard to ensure all of our customers get the best service available and at a great price. They were responsive in calling us back, providing an estimate, and scheduling the work. The electricians were punctual, professional, friendly, neat, knowledgeable and did a quality job. Unfortunately, we were billed by mail a few days later for an amount ($347.22), that was double the original amount estimated, ($170.00). The quote was done over the phone via a call I made to the office. When the worker showed up to do the job, he did not have the hammer drill he would need, and he said the job was more complicated than he first thought. There was never anything mentioned as to how much this might affect the original estimate.The worker left saying that he would be back sometime in the future with the drill. The office called later that day and said that it would have someone there again the next morning with the needed hammer drill. The workers showed up on schedule and did the job. Although the price was probably fair for the actual time spent on the job, I should have been given a new estimate based on how much more time it might take to complete the job so that I could decide whether to have them proceed with the job or not.
