Thanks once again to Candi Pearce and the professional friendly staff at Barkingham Palace for taking excellent care of our golden retriever and german shepherd. The best part about dropping off our pups here is knowing they are safe and will be taken good care of. Accommodating special requests is just another service they offer: extra playtime and continued treatment of a hot spot on my dog which had cleared up when we picked him up 4 days later. Picked up the happy pups after their baths and a groom for our golden. It's been over a decade since finding Barkingham Palace, and as always, it's a pleasure doing business with you.

These are the ONLY people that I will let take care of my pups. These are beautiful full of life pups and they were in great shape, physically, health, and still full of themselves when we picked them up. Thanks Barkingham staff !

I don't EVER blast businesses because I know and understand that there's always more than one side to a story. However, I'm breaking my rule and calling out BARKINGHAM PALACE and their puppy training policy. I know everyone will not agree with my stance on this, and that's your right, but, I inquired about taking our new pit bull puppy to training class when he turns 4 months old (he's 12 weeks now). They stated they do not accept pit bulls OR pit mixes due to liability. My belief is that any dog can be trained to be badly behaved and mean or trained to be well behaved. I would think as advocates and dog lovers, they would want to have pits trained properly and encourage owners to do so. We are responsible pet owners and want to do what's right by him and our other dogs. On the flip side, I am not naive and I understand and know that some people have had negative interactions with this breed of dog, so I empathize with that and can completely understand their feelings against the breed. But, we shouldn't generalize with this breed just as we shouldn't generalize with people/religions/races/ethnicities etc. in humans.

Despite using them before in the past, and not having an issue; there must be new staff or rules/regulations (well, more so a lack thereof) as Barkingham is not a friendly or safe environment. Upon picking my sweet puppy up after vacation, he was brought to us with massive raw and scabbed spots. We reached out to the owner and told her that our dogs did not experience a loving caring environment and we were told "we have too many dogs here to give yours individual attention, perhaps you should hire a pet sitter next time to come to your house and pet your dogs." So from the wise words of the owner, please do you and your fur babies a favor and use a different company.

We had been a Barkingham Palace customer for several years, spending thousands of dollars there and generally find their service acceptable. However, we recently scheduled a 9 day stay, three weeks in advance, and paid their $90.00 deposit. Unfortunately, we had a change of plans and had to cancel 17 days in advance. We asked if our deposit could be applied to an upcoming trip in December and was told NO ? that we must forfeit our deposit as per their standard policy. When trying to reason with them about this, their management was argumentative and offensive. We find this unacceptable and not the way a reputable
business should treat their customers. Our future business will be taken elsewhere.

We have had him there 3 times and will continue to use them. Initially they said if we bring him every 3-4 weeks it would not be $47.00, would be $35.00, but that has never been the case. Rate just went up to $49.00, but they do the best job of any place we have taken him. We have recommended them to others.

Absolutely love Barkingham Palace! Have used them many times in the last two years for my dogs' bath and groom ...the dogs love going there, the staff is amazing and they always turn out beautifully. Hard to find someone who gets the Westie style cut right and so happy that they do it perfectly! Highly recommend!

An exceptional business that makes you comfortable to travel knowing your pets are receiving exceptional care. Our two dogs love going there and receive the best level of care. The best we have found in 40+ years of pet ownership and having lived in over 20 locations.   They get the same loving care we give them at home.

They all love there jobs and really care about the pets. They may not remember your name but the definitely remember the dogs names. They are really great with all the pets. The helped with one of our rescue pets and definitely help her become more social-able.

We rescued our dog lucy and needed a place to get her groomed. We checked angies list and we are exteamly glad we did. Jody came and met with us when we walked in and went over exactly what we wanted. Lucy was a little apprehensive at first but Jody was so sweet and kind that Lucy took to her right away. When we picked her up she looked like a show dog. We loved what Jody did and so did Lucy.

They were expensive but well worth it. I think they were wonderful.

They have excellent boarding and grooming facilities.

Absolutely fantastic! Our two dogs love that Barkingham. It has a friendly, caring atmosphere and the owners and staff are the best we have seen in 40 years of dog ownership at 19 locations in the US while we served in the USAF. You cannot go wrong if you want the best care for your pets... No better in Melbourne!

What an awesome experience.  My dog hates nail trimming!  However, he didn't seem to mind it here as he was returned to me happy and NOT stressed out!  The staff was warm, friendly, and professional.  There was no wait time (and we were "walk-ins"), and we were out in 15 minutes!  His nails are now neat, and silent on the tile floor...no more click-clack!  I am so glad that I went to Barkingham Palace to have this service done for my dog.  I couldn't be happier!

I have lived in Brevard County for nearly four years, and have been looking for a great groomer since I moved here. I have finally found her! Not just good, great! My dog was badly in need of grooming - since our last experience wasn't very good, I was hesitant to repeat it. I called Barkingham Palace, and they were able to get her in the very next day. When I arrived, I was greeted very courteously, and the groomer came out to talk to me about my preferences. Later in the day I got a call when my dog was ready, and received the same warm welcome when I came to pick her up. The groomer once again came out to talk to me, to ensure that I was happy with her work. My dog looks beautiful, and it was obvious that she had been treated very well. She was very affectionate toward the groomer - I had never seen this before. Overall, this has been the very best grooming experience my dog has had! Needless to say, I've already booked her next appointment.
