ISD took over the fabrication of my countertops after the initial company I hired (a company with a good reputation) abandoned the job during the course of installation - as "too complex." Obviously, this created a variety of serious issues as completion of plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, appliance installation, etc., all came to a grinding halt. I was referred to ISD by Marble of the World for re-fabrication and installation. ISD was incredibly responsive in salvaging my project, and their entire process was more efficient and professional - night and day. First, they came out and re-templated the countertops to be replaced. The templater identified issues with the partially installed counters and "modified" the initial layout to achieve a more esthetically pleasing result. They sent back slabs delivered to them due to defects and only began fabrication when suitable slabs were received - and yet the turn around time from templating to delivery was 10 days (12 days from accepting to take over my project). Delivery was . . . I cannot describe how efficient and professional it went. They were so well prepared things that were impossible for the previous company to accomplish just, literally, fell into place. They also fabricated some things that had been on my wish list that the first company said were impracticable. Their pricing was competitive - especially considering the quagmire into which they stepped. My project was on schedule up until the initial countertop installation - every subcontractor was scheduled to finish within 11 days (not 11 business days, 11 days). I went from on schedule, initial completion date May 10th, to "fairly" completed June 28th. Once things get out of queue all bets are off as to when subcontractors can be rescheduled. Every team member at ISD was "on it." Communication was excellent. I see I'm the first to review ISD on Angie's List - I find this hard to believe. ISD is an excellent company. They gave me outstanding results in a courteous, efficient, and professional way. I have had very good results provided by other contractors in the past, but ISD provided the best experience I have had to date. I have built two houses, an office building, and done three major (200K+) remodels, so I've had my fair share of experience with contractors/subcontractors. ISD will exceed your expectations.
