PETE'S TREE & CRANE SVC

We allowed this company to come onto our property to access the neighbors limb. Not only did the leave the broken limb in our yard that demolished my $500 tree I just planted. They cut the limb and it crushed my tree. I contacted them to come get all the wood they left on my property and they picked it up. I gave them the option to cut a limb for me, replace the tree with one they had in stock or pay me a damage fee. They have done none. I thought this was fair. Our attorney will be handling this when I get time

I found this company through an ad in a local paper and called. A guy named Zach came out and quoted the job at 2600.00 I asked for written quotes which he provided by fax. I flew back to Tampa from Florida to supervise the job and when the crew showed up (on time) I was told that the job was underquoted and that they wanted more money. and they wanted to put the tree debris on the property in the back. Any other time I would have fired these guys and looked further but I horse traded to get another tree removed and payed only an additional 400.00. Which I felt was fair because According to the other quotes I got the job was underquoted. I demanded to see their insurance and checked it out. It was a legitimate in-force policy which most of the companies I contacted didn't have. I told zach he needed to get the tree debris out of there. He gave it to neighbors and was able to save some dump fees. I got him to grind the stumps which was a major task in and of itself. Here is the bottom line. These guys are good, cheap, and honest but you have to keep an eye on them. They will try to cut corners but will respond instantly to any complaints. I would use them again and i didnt mind the haggling.
The job was very well done and saved me a bundle.

I called Pete's Tree and Crane SVC company along with several others for an estimate to remove two large oak trees on my property and grind the stumps.  Pete called me back set up an appointment for the next day.   He called me before he arrived and gave me his estimate.  Several days later I called him and told him that I wanted him to do the work and he scheduled me for the next Wednesday.  The night before he came he called to confirm the time and arrived the next morning at 8:30 with his crew of four exactly as he had promised. Pete's had all the equipment he needed and they worked fast to remove the trees.  In addition to saws and climbing equipment they had a crane, chipper and truck and they chipped the limbs as they removed them making fast work of the trees.  In four hours they had removed the two trees completely and cleaned and raked the yard of all the debris. The larger pieces were loaded on the crane truck.   He scheduled the stump grinding for two days later and showed up promptly on time to do the grinding. This company did a professional job.  The largest tree, about  3 feet in diameter, had large limbs that extended out over the house.  In addition it was situated under power lines that ran through the top of the tree.  All of the limbs that extended over the house were carefully removed with the crane with no damage to my property. Likewise the limbs that extended over the neighbors property were removed with no damage to fences.  Everything was cleaned up quickly and thoroughly. It was a pleasure to deal with this company.
