They weren't able to repair the weed whacker due to a specific part that was inherently weak in the model that I owned.  Thus, they took the money that I paid to them and purchased a weed whacker that was of higher quality and actually cheaper than my previous one.  What's more is that the technician actually called me a couple of times to explain this issue and why it would be better to purchase an entirely new one.  I was very happy with their services and will use them in the future.

Purchased a Husqvarna String Trimmer from George's on 7/31/2010. Trimmer developed a problem with the recoil starting mechanism and was returned for warranty repair on approximately August 7, 2010. Work was completed satisfactorily and I was called to pickup on 8/19/2010. On March 11, 2011, trimmer suffered the same problem again and was returned to George's for warranty repair on 3/11/2011. Called to check on status of repair on March 24th (almost 2 weeks later) and representative could not provide a status update. She indicated that she would check and call when she was able to find the status. Later that day she called and stated that the repair work had not been done because the trimmer had not been entered into their system correctly. I inquired as to what would have happened if I had not called and she indicated that probably nothing as someone had looked at it and that was the extent of their work. Needless to say I'm not happy that the trimmer has been sitting there for almost 2 weeks and nothing has been done. So now I'm forced to wait another week until the part is received that's needed for repair. Seems that the product is defective and next time it breaks, it will probably not be under warranty. Should that happen, I'll be sure not to use George's Mower Service for it or anything else.

The cable for my self propelled lawnmower broke and I took the mower to George's on Thursday 5/6/10. My mower was a Honda, they are a Honda dealer and repair service but didn't have such a common part in stock. It took a week to get the part in and 9 days total for a simple repair job. I was shocked when I got a $102.00 repair bill for just a cable replacement. You can buy a brand new mower for $300.00 at some places. When I questioned the high bill, I got a list of excuses. They didn't seem to care at all. There are not many mower repair shops in this area of town, they know it and can get away with such prices. I would look elsewhere if you can find someone else that can do such repair work.

Took my mower in for repair on 6 or 7 July. Paid a deposit, and was told to "check back next week." On the 11th, I called, and was told that they do not repair this type of mower. I was obviously upset that, a) they should have told me that upfront, when I dropped off the mower, and b) that they should have called me as soon as realized that they couldn't do the repair. I talked with the owner, and he was kind and understanding, and provided an apology and the address to a place that will repair my mower. But, losing 4 or 5 days was unsatisfactory...and cost me $$ to hire a lawn service for a week.
