He did a pretty good job but I never got a follow up on some things afterwards. The work was pretty good for the most part. There was an issue but I never did get a response back. He was very approachable. He knows his business but just doesn't follow up afterwards in terms of some issues going on. I would tell other members that the price is good but be careful if you have some follow up work to be done. I found someone else down the street who is pretty good.

Didn't communicate well and when the mower was returned it still had the same problem HOWEVER the owner was very quick to rectify the issue and overall is a pretty brilliant guy! He can fix ANYTHING from AC to Electrical to Power Equipment.

Took it to Allen - a family run business with a great reputation! He asked me to leave it, so they could look over and determine what was wrong with it! Called me back with several days. He gave me options that It could be, but also offered some services they could try to keep the cost down, if they worked. They did! I appreciate them trying to save me money, and doing a great job... not to mention they are close by! Great job!

Allen's originally installed the central vaccuum system, so I called them when the unit failed (3 years later). They contacted Nutone and arranged for a replacement unit to be sent out. When received they installed the unit and added a hose inlet at no cost, labor and parts being covered under the warranty.

While there Mr. Allen also replaced two flourscent light fixtures that I had purchased from Lowe's. He also replaced a wall electrical socket. Total cost of all work was $80, a real bargain.

Mr. Allen is a small family run business. They are sometimes difficult to get a hold of, but well worth the effort. He is very experienced, does excellent work, and has great prices.

The electricity in my bedroom kept going off and he fixed it. They were very respectful and did a great job. Mark diagnosed the problem correctly he was very efficient. He even changed an outlet in my bathroom and gave me an estimate for another job I need I feel like I got my money's worth

I brought my lawn mower to the shop and explained what I thought was the problem. I did have to wait a couple of days for a part (which I considered to be normal) -- but when I picked up my lawn mower the part was replaced and the blades sharpened. It was like having a new mower!

Others had recommended Allen's to me, plus I checked the Angie's List rating, so I decided to take my lawn mower and pressure washer there. It had been a couple years since I had my lawn mower serviced, other than changing the air filter and spark plug. Steve Allen and his son fixed is so that now it roars. Apparently the governor needed adjustment. I followed all the trouble shooting steps in the manual for my pressure washer, but couldn't get the pressure up to beyond regular spigot strength. Steve checked it out and found that somehow the pump cylinders were faulty. I could not find my purchase receipt right away, but Steve figured out by the serial number that it should be under warranty. I asked him to go ahead and repair it anyway. He was right, we bought it less than two years ago, so the replacement pump was covered by warranty. The entire experience was much better than I expected -- definitely worth the drive out of the way. Steve took the time to share tips with me on how to keep my machines running longer. Just based on my couple visits to his shops, I can tell his other customers value his advice, too. My take, this is an excellent, family owned and operated business that is not out to just grab a buck but to truly serve their customers.

A/C went out on a Sunday - called them - they had me check a few things - no luck - they came out on Monday morning - replaced the part - all OK

He was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. He answered all of my question, gave me all of the information that I asked for ,and was willing to share his expertise.
