Three weeks went by and no check, I tried calling him several times and no answer, this went on for weeks. Finally after threatening to go to a local news channel with the story and leaving that message on his machine, I got a call back within an hour. He apologized and said that his assistant was sick and he would take care of it personally. He then asked how did i want the return in a certified check or deposited straight into my account. I chose the certified check, then he told me that he couldn't give me the whole amount that he would have to make payments. I said you didn't have a problem cashing or taking the whole amount but ok. He said he would take care of it gave me his personal cell phone number and we hung up. again a week goes by and nothing. I texted him asked what happened to the money or check he said he mailed it out certified letter. I asked him for the certified letter number so i could track it. Two days later he sends me the certified tracking number. I go to my local USPS with the number and they tell me that is not a tracking number they tried to look it up for me with other carriers and it's a fake number. I texted him again I have not heard from him since.
There are plenty of other dog trainers out there i would highly recommend using someone else. I looked up this company and the reviews weren't that bad. I thought some people are very picky and since the stars averaged out about three i gave them a shot. Looking back on other sites it seems as though every time someone said something negative about them there was a post within a few days giving them 5 stars. That countered there level, giving them a better rating. Looking back at the dissatisfied customers I have to believe that they were correct. Karma will come back to this company and the owner. I am a business owner too, I would never do the things that this company does. Buyers beware please go to someone else. $900 hard lesson learned.
I honestly can't imagine that we would have ever figured out how to control these little tanks without the help of Dave and his All American Dog Training staff. I would highly recommend All American Dog Training to anyone looking to understand the proper techniques of managing any dog breed.
Now, I follow All American Dog training across various social networking sites and enjoy their training videos and helpful daily hints and tips about caring for your pet. - Thank you guys!
A couple of points you fail to mention. Your Angie's List information stated that your warranty was and quot;satisfactionand quot;. Our dog was sick and under the care of a vet. Your trainer stated that as long as he was ill, it would not be a good idea to do the training. Your trainer missed 2 appoints. You want to point to your contract, that's fine. I'll point to your Angie's List warranty that states that your warranty is and quot;satisfactionand quot;. What satisfaction have I received?
The contract for All American Dog Training Academy is totally one-sided. Their side. It refers to a cancellation policy of 24 hours on the part of the buyer. We did that. There is no such policy for any cancellations on their part. It also does not address the illness or if your pet dies. You are still liable for the contract. That is not only unfair, but not good business and just all around being a bad person. We hired Dave Springs in good faith. We asked him if he would like to be paid by credit card or cash. He said he would prefer cash so he could save the 31/2% credit charge fee. We paid for two consecutive training classes, as we were considering our dog to be a therapy dog. We wanted to give back by taking our dog to nursing homes, assistant living, etc. We did not plan on our dog getting so ill. On our first visit, our trainer, Tim, talked about himself for the entire first hour. The second visit, much of the same, but some training. The third visit, we and quot;steeredand quot;him in the direction of training. If any of you out there choose to use All American Dog Training, please for your own protection, use a credit card, so you will have recourse if you are unsatisfied, and add some additional items to the contract to protect yourself. This is not a company that cares about customer satisfaction. I have asked for what I truly believe that I am entitled to, and that is the return of unused monies. He only gave us three lessons, that is what I should have to pay for. I am willing to pay for the services I received. It is unethical to charge us for services we did not use. I would rather that unused portion go to the SPCA than to go into Dave's pocket. I wonder how many times he has done this to customers. Just think of the money he makes while not providing the service he charges for.
Thank you,
Connie Weaver
