Roy's Flooring & Decor (Kim-E Roy, LLC-DBA)

Everything went well.  We practically drove them crazy going back and forth with samples until we finally made our choice.  First, we thought carpet, then tile, then finally decided on the hardwood.  They were patient with us and provided helpful suggestions. It's a beautiful floor and we are glad we went with Roy's.  We started dealing with three other local flooring companies, but then we found Roy's on Angie's list.  The rest is history!  Be are very happy with them as a company.  We plan on calling them for updated window treatments for the master bedroom as soon as the hurricane season is over and the dust settles from our busy summer.  Our two walk-in closets are opposing each other across a hallway.  One of the closets is not square, by a long shot, as our house is built on a pie shaped lot and the angles of the interior were taken out in the closets to make the rooms rectangular.  So one closet is at an angle with the other, more like a trapezoid with no parallel walls.  They put down the floor in the crocked closet so that the boards ran parallel to the boards in the opposite closet across the hall.  It was a challenge, not often encountered, but not a problem for the these guys.  Every board that touched a wall, in that crocked closet, had to be cut an an angle to accommodate the matching look across the hallway.  They did an excellent job!  My hat goes off for the installation crew.  A job well done!

They are great.  I have done two or three pretty large projects with them and I'll likely use them again to do our kitchen.  Everything they had done for us was great like the floor boards.  They have a great showroom.  I would go back to them again and again.  I've gotten curtains and plantation stutters from them.  They are great.  They did the first bathroom in 2012 and that's when they did the flooring.  They did the second bathroom in 2013 and they were part of the crew that worked on the second one.  In 2014 we purchased plantation stutters and blinds from them.  It's a husband and wife company.  The husband Damon is very knowledgeable in construction.  He has great subcontractors that he really works well with and keeps tabs on and makes sure that they are doing things correctly.  The wife Kim is in the decorating side and she extends the showroom and works with people to pick counter tops, cabinets, back splashes, carpeting, tiling, cardboard flooring, draperies and all sorts of upholstery items.  I haven't used any of that but if I have a need to I would start with her anyway and see what her pricing would be.  I don't think they are cheap but probably right in the middle.  I’m just really impressed with the way that they give clients attention and they want us to be happy.

They were prompt and courteous and all work was done as specified

They had a sub to actually lay the floor and he did not use the correct glue. They had to get another sub in to try and fix

Everything went as expected.

They're about 90% through with a total carpeting, tiling, and bathroom restoration. The tiling is excellent. They worked hard to stay within business. They are courteous. They keep me well-informed because I'm not always there. I'm quite certain that we will go back to them. I picked upper end things, and they worked hard to stay within my budget.
