I was told there would be a $69 show up charge to give a me quote. Work would be performed at $125 per hour. I recieved a call that the plumber would be at my condo in 15 minutes. He arrived an hour later. I didn't get a quote. The plumber spent 45 minutes in my kitchen, and another 15 in his truck (making out the bill????) It was $355. I asked about the $69 show up and $125 per hour. He said this job was a "task" job. (One TASK was $135 to attach my disposal) It took him 5 minutes.

We hired Rays Plumbing to do minor repairs after we bought our house. Doug was great, on time, and informative. We had him out for 3 days for various repairs. We took his advice about getting a new ozmosis system. 3 months later, we had a leak. Rays plumbing didnt want to detect it...we had to hire another company to come out .. 2 way splitter to the ro osmosis system was put in cracked or too tight causing a pinhole leak. My husband called rays plumbing and they did fix it but we had 6,000 worth of damage done. That was aug 2017..no apologies made. Liability insurance from rays never came out even after serveral calls. Very dissappointed. Spent 2500 plus tipping doug.

They overcharged for the work. When I asked what the cost of the replacement parts was they wouldn't tell me. The plumber would only give the price of the parts plus labor saying that was their standard replacement parts and labor cost for that job. They cut an access hole in my drywall and did not advise me ahead of time. Later when I was presented the bill I saw the hole and asked what they were going to do to repair it. The response was that they are not drywall repairmen and would do nothing. They overcharged for their work and left me with a "surprise" hole in my kitchen wall that I have to repair. I will never use this company again.

We had Ray's plumbing come out to our office building for a clogged toilet based on their "Best of Charlotte" awards. After the plumber was unable to clear the problem by snaking the toilet, said he would need to access the clean-out outside to open the flow. Before he would finish the job, I had to agree to the predetermined charge of $325, actually signing a handheld device attesting to the charge. I agreed. He did indeed clear the blockage. 45 minutes is the total amount of time he spent on the job. I would have no problem paying for service by the hour, but $433 an hour for a plumber is utterly ridiculous. To their credit, the were there the same day that we called and were professional. Nevertheless, I will not use them again.

Technician cleaned gaskets and found debris causing the leak. Checked the pressure of the back flow device...explained everything he did and was very thorough.
