The job went better than I could ever imagine. The palm was very close to the house (3 feet from corner of the house) and sat over the septic tank. There was also concrete edging and a large bush within a foot of the palm. Nick showed up with his crew and they wasted no time in taking the palm down along with moving it out of the way as he brought in the equipment to grind the stump. After all of the palm tree was removed, along with all the orange seeds that fell off, my front yard was totally raked. All of the ground-up stump was also raked in the flower bed and you would never know looking at the yard that a tree had been removed. I still go out and admire the great job they did without damaging the house, edging or large bush. Not only did they do a great job, all the guys were so polite and answered all my questions. I knew when I saw his "Proposal" in my emails, that he was very professional and I would definitely hire them again and would highly recommend them for any services that they do.
"Much Obliged!"
"In response to your complaint {member name removed}. I apologize we don't have all our company hours correct on every server, Yahoo, google, Angieslist and 30 others ETC. I am glad you were able to find another contractor to do part of the job. It would have been nice of you to call and leave a message as to the job already being contracted out. I called in advance to look at your project with no response I went any way. Our system leaves us with little questions as to what needs to be done at the addressed property. 3 palms to be removed in front left corner of the yard. Upon my arrival I saw a little sawdust remaining and noticed the stumps were left from the company which you stated completed the job on Monday. I shifted mode to complete stump grinding. The sarcastic tone is kind of hard to tack on me since you had only spoken to me for less than 5 minutes and the fact that I am monotone or robotic if you would like to use that as an example. Listen to my voice mail. The stump grinding and tree removal estimates which were a different $ amount is easy to explain. It is called miscommunication between Linda the secretary and myself. My apologies. I really appreciate you bringing the hours to our attention. I have a web firm that is taking care of our web needs and will bring that to his attention. Also I already change the ours on Angislist. Thanks again for your response."
"Thank you for you continued business!"
"Thank you for the opportunity to express our services to you! It is our Pleasure."
(Sorry this review is a little late)
that). He had an "accident" while doing my work, his equipment backed
over the 2x4 with the hose bib for the dock area and broke it off
(water was running out of the broken pipe). Also he nailed the next 2x4
with the AC power plug on it so now the tree is gone but I have a 1/2
day's worth of work to fix the problems he left me behind fixing the plumbing and electrical.
I did check several people and his price was very reasonable for the work, if only he didn't have the "accident".
"Mr. (member name removed) and Angie's list customers, I am a little surprised at the negative feedback you left for the services we provided. The fact that you never addressed these issues with me personally gives me the impression that you are not willing to communicate in a professional manor. First, I would like to say that we take pride in the quality of service we deliver and that any accidents are always rectified. We also take pride in ensuring that our communication is clear and well perceived. However, if the customer does not communicate his wishes or concerns there is no way that our company can accommodate any such apprehensions. I would like to address the initial phone call for the estimate. I recall that after informing you of our price for the job, your tone seemed negative from the start and I quote your words "you got beat". My reply was, “If someone is going to cut down your palm, in the location it is in, and grind the stump for lest than $150 that is fine by me.” You then stuttered and said, "Oh you are going to grind the stump?" I replied, “Yes, we offer a complete service.” You then gave us the job and I informed you that we would be there in about a week. We got to your job as soon as possible. Please keep in mind the relative size of the job and the operating costs we experience were not conducive to drive such a distance. As for the dock line I broke; the first thing I did was look for a shut off. When I was unsure as to where it was, I knocked on the front door to inform you of the problem. You immediately began to belittle me and told me that it should not have happened. I replied, “That is neither here nor there. Talking about it is getting isn’t getting us anywhere.” I then said, “Do you know where the shut off is for the dock?” You replied, “There isn't one.” I knew that it is very uncommon not to have a shut off, so I asked you if you could unlock the stilt lattice area the house sits on. After being hesitant and short, you finally did. Not long after that I found the shut off. I then went to dig out the area where the broken pipe was. In doing this, I noticed that it was schedule 20 pipe with a male adaptor, which was mated to copper with a hose bib that was mounted to a 2x4 that was totally rotted out. I told you I would be back that night to fix the plumbing. You then said that you just wanted to cap it off and you did not care about the 2x4 or hose bib being there wasn't even a dock. I said, “Okay.” I ended up working well into the evening that day and thought it would be better to fix it in the morning. As for the electrical, we did not hit the outlet that was in the proximity of the dock line, but that 2x4 was in fact rotted through as well. Regardless, it will not take you a half of a day to drive 2 short pieces of 2x4 in the ground one for the hose and the other for the electrical therefore your animosity is not supported by your claims and gives evidence that your criticism is slanted. One last thing (member name removed); you forgot to mention the pile of debris that we hauled away at no extra charge. Yes, it was from your dead tree and no, it was not a part of the job. You or someone one on the property had relocated it to another area but we took it anyways in our attempt to ensure customer satisfaction and provide quality services. In short, I truly believe that we could have avoided any contention if there was proper communication to inform me of your concerns from the accident. We did make attempts to rectified the situations and completely repair the damage that was done. However, your belligerent attitude prevented us from doing so. We are sorry for the accident, but it should be noted that we did our part to ensure everything was repaired."
( see my review for that service ) they work very hard and very neatly.
