Tech was very professional and nice. Services were performed in under and hour. He also took the time to show me how to use the new thermostat and talked to me about some of the newer A/C technology available for residential use.

It was my first time using the company and everything went very well. A crew of 5 came out and completed the job in 2 days. They were very responsive and courteous. They had a tremendous work ethic. If I could give them an A+ I would. I no problem scheduling them out for the service.

I worked with Dustin Dunnahoe who was excellent. Very professional and very helpful. I got over six quotes from various contractors and must talked to six more. Dustin was by far the best to work with, he spent a lot of time explaining the equipment and provided a complete written proposal that outlined everything.  
He included re-doing duct work for more efficient air-flow, re-insulting copper and drain lines, extending the existing condensation drain (which was causing some mold growth), and much more..
In the end I chose a top of the line Lennox system and could be happier.

John the service man is very good and does a good job.  It would have been nice to know that my U/V bulbs were burnt out so I could have changed them.  
Made an appointment for an estimate on a new system and no one ever showed up. When I tried to speak to the owner that I had met years ago I was always passed off to someone else. I was really disappointed in them not showing up after having them provide service for me for 3 years. It may have been a blessing in disguise because I had someone else install a new system and I loved the job they did.

It was wonderful. They're like whatever the best is. They're as good as you could get. The price was really good too. The quality was perfect. The responsiveness was perfect too. They were really good. That was great.

The original date was set for a Friday, which was ok, although not perfect.  We received a call asking if we could change the day to Wednesday, which was perfect.  Keith was very helpful in explaining everything that would be involved, including all costs. After the installation, he followed up to personally check everything.  We would definitely recommend Boyd Brothers to anyone!

Well, this last time it went OK, as one of their best service men, Kevin, was here and he always does a good job.  
However, others have not been so good. After two years of being under agreement with this company, we decided to look for another, as overall; their service has been mediocre at best. Other service technicians did a quick once over, without cleaning the outdoor condenser or opening up the air handler or checking the output temperature of the AC unit. In fact, I was told by one tech that our outside unit didn't need to be cleaned like most units. The other service guys always cleaned the outside unit; however he just didn't want to. Little did he realize that he was talking to a retired electrical engineer who knows a thing
or two about electromechanical systems. That service technician also charged us $172 for a 5 micro-farad capacitor. This capacitor was part of a twin capacitor combo unit that contained a 12.5 and a 5.0 Micro-farad capacitor. The 5.0 side was bad
and he didn't have the combo unit on the truck so he used a 5.0 micro-farad individual capacitor and substituted it for that half of the combo unit that was bad. He charged $172 for that 5.0 capacitor part. I have since purchased a new combo unit for $32, so you can see the price gouging that goes on while they have you as a captive customer under agreement. Not anymore! Prior to this incident, we had called them and set up an appointment to have an estimate for a new AC system installed as ours is nearing its limit in age and performance. Well, the man was supposed to show up between 10 and 11 AM but never arrived. We waited and waited. Then, shortly after 4 PM, I called to asked the girl answering the phones what happened. She told me that the man had been tied up longer than expected on the previous call and couldn't make it and that I would have to reschedule. I told her that it would have been nice to have been notified that he was not going to show, so we could have done something else with our afternoon. She was not very nice to me on the phone and told me that she was not responsible to notify me. She also informed me that the man who missed the appointment was not responsible to call either. So, as you can see, customer service from this company is also mediocre at best. The list goes on and on! Our AC system will definitely need to be replaced in a year or two, but Boyd Brothers will not be called upon to do the job.

Service and repair of our ac unit.  The repairman was very prompt and worked to figure out the problem.  He was honest and told us that the unit appeared to be leaking freon.  He said he could not find the leak but we should watch to see if we have any trouble with the cooling.  If the leak gets worse it will be easier to locate.  He was prompt and polite.  Very pleased with Boyd's and will use them again if needed.  Only problem was we called on Sunday and left a message apparently the message service did not provide our message.  We had to call Monday morning.

Called Boyd Brothers due to air conditioning not working properly.  A tech came out and did a temporary repair.  We knew we needed a new system so we asked for a quote.  Dustin came over and took a look at the situation and quoted me three systems.  He was knowledgeable, professional and very helpful. He also looked at our duct work and the routing of our cold air returns and discovered most of our cold air return ducts weren't connected and our system was unnecessarily laboring, probably leading to its demise.   
The gentlemen that installed the system were friendly, prompt and professional. They did a great job. We elected to go with an Amana system. Dustin worked with us throughout the process and saw the installation through. We also selected an additional air filter which was wonderful and I'm glad we got it.
In addition, since our new system was installed, our monthly electric bill went down from $125.00 to $80.00 per month and the house is overall cooler!
Boyd Brothers did a beautiful job on the duct work and fitting the new system in a better location for us. I was really impressed with their work and will continue to recommend them to everyone I talk to!

It went very well. They were experienced and gave me a lot of information and were very trustworthy. Our A/C unit is not being over worked any longer and there is cool air in the far end of the house so the setting on the thermostat can be more realistic. If we ever have to replace the main unit, we will definitely call them. It is about 10 years old right now and working well.
