Gave this office 3 tries to get it right, and I was disappointed each time. Last fall my dog was ill with diahrrea and vomiting. He took numerous tests, to the tune of $400, and told me she had a belly ache. Seriously. He purchased this office from another vet, and it's been downhill ever since.
Second time my dog had worms (due to eating fleas in FL). He demanded that I bring her in, not just a stool sample. Then I was charged an office visit, too.
Last effort, March of this year, I simply needed a prescription filled by my vet in another state. Took their office an entire day to fill a prescription - that I now know could have been filled by Wal-Mart for a fraction of the cost and in about an hour!
I find their staff to be non-responsive and not particularly friendly. I will not go back.

Our dog is a Greater Swissy-115lbs of fun yet very intimidating due to her size. This hospital had no issues with that and didn't even request a muzzle. Our dog had a very positive experience which we really appreciate and they also showed nothing but kindness to her-no man handling at all! The Doc fixed her right up for her itching with a shot-we expected her to put a cone on her but after the shot the itching stopped! She also prescribed an antibiotic too. While we were there we also had her test for heartworm. The state we came from only tests for heartworm every two years where as here they test every year, (plus it had been two years since her last test). She also informed us that there are two tick seasons here and that the fleas here don't respect the store bought flea/tick collars. So we also ordered a new tick/flea collar for our dog. We will continue to use this vet office. Very clean, very nice people, very professional and was able to get us right in.....no waiting! We are very fortunate we found this vet hospital and would recommend them to anyone!

She improved with treatment almost immediately (which she always has with their care). We love them! They have brought her back from severe symptoms several times in the last year. We highly recommend them.

It went great. We will continue to use Dr Bivens in the future since we have 4 senior cats.

We bring our dogs to Dr. Bivens when we are in Florida, though their primary vet is in Virginia. When our 11yr old beagle who is receiving chemo suddenly began to get weaker, we called Dr. Bivens and she saw us promptly. She did bloodwork, xrays, and an exam in her office and determined that though the xray was suspicious for her cancer flaring up, she thought there may be an underlying infection causing such sudden weakness. Long story short, antibiotics dramatically improved her energy. Our whole family (based on several visits) knows Dr. Bivens is one "sharp cookie". She goes out of her way to be helpful and friendly. Her entire staff is not only friendly and animal focus, but professional at all times. The office is clean and well organized, too.

The services went very well. The treatment was excellent. We've taken both cats and dogs to her. The office is a new building and is spacious. There's a side for cats and there's a side for dogs. There are plenty of magazines to read about cats, dogs, and stuff like that. The office staff is friendly, courteous, and I would give them straight A's, up and down. We've been going to Dr. Bivens at least 7 years, or as old as Bentley is. I will absolutely continue to go there in the future.

We brought our 12 y.o. cat, Rusty, to Dr. Bivens. When I called they were able to see him that same day. She was very thorough. The facility is clean and has a separate area for cats and dogs. In addition, she is able to do many tests onsite. The visit went so well we brought our 19 y.o. cat, Chloe for a visit. It turned out she had high blood pressure. Dr. Bivens changed her diet and put her on medicine. 3 weeks later, her blood pressure came down 20 pts. Dr. Bivens has a web site that contains a pet portal where you can track each cat's medicines, appointments, diet, etc. When you set yourself on the pet portal, you are sent an email reminder of your upcoming appointment. You can also pick up your RX diet at the vet or order it online through the pet portal for a nominal delivery fee. I highly recommend Dr. Bivens/Animal Medical Clinic of P**** Gorda.

We were seen a few minutes after the appointment time. The assistant came in first and bonded with our dog then took his temperature. A few minutes later Dr Bivens came in and played/bonded very well with our puppy and did al neccessary.

I have been going to this practice for years and have always had great experiences. On this visit Dr. Bivens was very thorough is determining whether it was bacteria and/or yeast and prescribed medication that worked great. She is extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful, as well as having a knowledgeable and helpful staff. I would highly recommend this practice to ANYONE. They have state of the art equipment that you rarely see in other practices.
