professional to save their neck, that's a big deal!
I have never failed to fix, upgrade, troubleshoot, or revive a dying computer until several months ago when my
desperately-needed old Windows XP computer began crashing and locking me out. I tried all my tricks for a few weeks and finally had to throw my hands up in despair because I could not bring it back to life no matter what I did. I was desperate because I still work with web sites and graphics and my programs will not work in Windows 7 and Windows 8, so I was desperate to keep my old computer
running and, at the least, copy all my data files to flash drives to preserve them.
A friend had recommended Kenny Wilson to me over a year ago, but I've had some bad experiences with so-called computer
professionals who didn't know half of what I know, so I was very hesitant to call him. However, necessity became the mother of invention and I called him.
Wow! What a surprise I had in store! He was so knowledgeable that he taught me some important things and he did a most
thorough exam using equipment I never owned. He put me back in service, provided a new XP OEM operating system so all my system files were healthy, and gave me some suggestions on what to do if it failed again. We agreed that I needed to
back up my data on an external drive. Then he suggested that I purchase a Windows 7 Pro computer so that I could set up a virtual XP mode and trick it into allowing me to install my old programs that won't install on computers with operating systems newer than XP.
Thankfully, his suggestions worked. My XP system held out for a few more months and then the fan burned out after 8 years,
so I decided that it was time to follow the rest of his suggestions and I'm all set and running smoothly on the new computer that I purchased through a local box store with Windows 7 Pro. Without Kenny I would have lost all my years of data files and some of my downloaded programs and I would be out of business now. (Yes, I had backups but you can't restore them to a dead computer.) Whew! I am so grateful to him.
On a personal note, the minute I met Kenny I knew he was a keeper. (What a nice guy!) I have seldom met any professional in
any field who is such a true gentleman. He took great care to teach me what I needed to know and he treated me with the greatest of respect, as both a professional and a client. I've found that many computer pros talk down to female technical professionals like we don't have the intelligence to do the jobs that they can do. Kenny was perfect in every way and left me feeling very secure in that I have the right person to turn to if I ever get into technical trouble again.
