I got a couple of estimates and I liked him the best. They were very good at explaining things to me. They told me what needed to be done and how they were going to do it. They were reasonably priced. I didn't have any trouble with them. They came when they said and did what they said they were going to do. Wham bam and they were done.

I dealt with a gentleman by the name of Lee. He performed the initial inspection of the Air Conditioning system prior to purchasing our house. He identified all the problems with the system, which wasn't working at the time, and we had him perform the necessary work on the 10 year old system. His workmanship was excellent. Lee was very professional, and easy to talk to. He explained everything in detail and also gave great advice for the future of the old system. The only qualm I had with him was the high cost of repairs. He initially quoted over $1000 for his services. He initially requested the bill in the full amount, even though i installed thermostat myself to save some money. He probably forgot about that. I've worked on automotive air conditioning systems before, which are the same thing, just scaled down, so i had a problem with that. After reasoning with him, he lowered our bill to approx $800 before taxes. I calculate that parts, accumulator, filter, refrigerant and the scant amounts of copper and solder would amount to $350 at the MOST. Plus the inspection would make that $445 leaving $355~ in labor costs. HOWEVER in his defense, air conditioning is a highly specialized field, and since then, i had a capacitor go bad, and he came to my home and replaced it free of charge! To add to that, he is VERY sympathetic and flexible, and that makes up for any issues from before. I will use Lee again in the future for his professionalism and punctuality, plus HE CALLS BACK. Just don't forget to document conversations and the work being performed so that when things change, you have something in hand to negotiate with.
