JOHNSON'S CLOCK SHOP

Extremely cavalier about a very expensive grandfather clock with fine cabinetry. Treated it like it was a plastic timex. Didn't secure the clock on the dolly and it almost joustled off coming up the driveway - no straps or padding of any kind. Took out the moving parts and wanted to sit them on a kitchen counter to oil them - I suggested putting a cloth underneath otherwise I would have had oil all over my counter. his young assistant (presumably his son) then did the oiling for him and they used some sort of spray oil and went to put clock face back into the clock. Young kid kept putting screwdriver on expensive coffee table next to clock and ended up putting several dings on table. Finally had to ask him to please stop putting that tool on my table. When they left they forgot their dolly and called back several hours later to retrieve it. Told them to come next morning. And after all of this and a payment of $275. Now the clock isn't chiming right and sounds as if the rods are banging. Have called another local clock man to hopefully fix. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON if you value your clock.
