Yours was certainly extra long, but the system (permitting/codes) also updated (the Florida Building Code) this year (right before you signed), which is arguably the most stringent building code IN THE WORLD. So that had a factor and played a role. Also, the engineering product approvals had to be updated coincidentally (these expire every 3 years or so - the ones we submit every permit (so they wanted a new one mid stream)). Add to that, was the fact that we ALSO switched Insurance Carriers mid permit and that set off ANOTHER set of permitting delays. So thank you thank you thank you. Permits don't usually take that long. But we did our best despite the circumstances, most of which are definitely beyond our control!! But we all agree that you have a beautiful roof!
