The job took about 2-3 days to do the work. It was done by the owner of the company himself! He was very mindful of his work and did an excellent job!! We would highly recommend him!! He worked very hard to do it right the first time!!

I have used this service for the last year. Ryan (owner) had been very professional in the past (responding to my phone calls, and questions regarding my lawn service.) Over the las few months, I had begun to notice that my lawn was not being cut per our agreed upon terms. It seems that in December and January, my lawn was cut once each month. The agreed upon terms were to have lawn mowing once every 2 weeks during the slow growing season. My checks were continued to be cashed even tho the service I was paying for was not being performed. I contacted Ryan, he told me that he was having trouble with his helpers and that he was and quot;rippedoffand quot; meaning that he was paying his workers and that they weren't doing the job, also that they had taken his tools. Ryan assured me that he was still in business and that he would rectify the issues. I told Ryan that I was considering going with another provider, but would give him another chance if he would give me a new bid for my lawncare needs along with a paper contract. It has been 10 days and I still havent heard from Ryan. I am not sure what is going on with his businsess, but I don't want anyone else on Angieslist getting caught up in his business or lack of business issues. Its a shame that this once hard working young man has allowed his company to be tarnished by such poor professional conduct (lack of communication, and stealing the money of his customers by cashing the checks and not providing the service he was hired for.) Please be ware of his poor service dealing.

I was looking for a landscape company to do an initial cleanup on a home I recently purchased in Port St. Lucie, and to do the monthly lawn maintenance. Based on the reviews here on Angie's List I contacted Coastal to get an estimate. Ryan showed up on time for the estimate and gave me a price to do the initial cleanup, plant a few decorative plants and put down mulch, and then do the monthly maintenance. His prices were very fair and he seemed knowledgable, so I hired him to do the work, paying him for the cleanup and the first month's maintenance fee. The day arrived for him to do the initial cleanup work and no Ryan. Towards the end of the day I called him. He did call back and say he was having equipment problems, and that he would try and get to me that day or the next moring at the latest. He did make it the next morning, did the cleanup and planting as promised and did a very nice job. He also said he would get me on the weekly maintenance schedule.
Time passed and I did not see Ryan or his crew. Since I didn't move into the house immediately I didn't bother him because I could not say for sure if he had been there or not. Once I was in I let 2 1/2 weeks go by and noticed for sure he hadn't come. I left a telephone message asking him to call me and let me know if there was a problem with him continuing to do my maintenance and he never returned my call. With my lawn starting to look pretty overgrown and unkept from the recent rains I had no choice but to hire someone else to do the maintenance. I called and emailed him letting him know his services were no longer needed and haven't received a response to that contact either.
I'm sorry things did not work out because Ryan seems very personable and knowledgable, but I need someone reliable who will return contacts when needed and show up on a regular basis.

We bought property in Florida but couldn't move immediately so I checked Angie's List to get someone to maintain the lawn. I called 3 or 4 from the list and Coastal Lawn called back the fastest and had the best price. The initial contact with Ryan, he asked all the questions he needed to find out exactly what we expected and explained a lot of things that we were not aware of, being new to the area. Great communication! When we got to the property Ryan came out and went over everything he had been doing and what we wanted to change. Ryan's staff is awesome - I have never seen anyone work so hard and do so happily. They are all friendly and charming.

I am really beginning to believe in Angie's list because of my most recent experience with CLand G. I recently moved to PSL from Virginia in July 2012. I am a disabled Vet and cannot (should not) do a lot of heavy lifting or shoveling so I felt I needed to find someone who could do these things for me on my property. I contacted Ryan (owner) who is a young and motivated professional. He has 4 little daughters that he carries photos of in his truck for motivation. I was impressed with the fact he is such a hardworking and dedicated family man. He came and did a clear cut estimate which was very reasonable from what I understand here.
He brought his crew to my place and for my first lawn care session they cleared out a lot of old plants and shrubs, trimmed them, and cut and edged my grass beautifully. They also cleared up and manicured inside my pool enclosure. I could hardly believe the changes they made on the first shot!
He listened very carefully to what I wanted to do with my yard and understood that I am a retiree on a budget so with all the projects I asked about he broke down every item into manageable jobs in phases that not only worked with my budget but also keeping in mind how things grow and when they should be planted or worked on. I had him scheduled to put in about 13 palm trees in my back yard and he called to recommend a delay because we had some very cold weather which was a really smart move. They came as soon as the weather permitted and put in my trees. My neighbors are being very nice to me being new guy on the block since my yard looks so great (I'm sort of kidding). I have had a lot of compliments on the work they have done so far. I have several phases to go in addition to my weekly upkeep and I'm very happy with the service. They know what they are doing and have good suggestions for making your home nice looking.
Ryan and his crew are trustworthy, prompt, professional and fast!
I don't have any real do's and don't except DO HIRE THEM! These guys work hard for your money and make it worthwhile.

Coastal Lawn and Garden did an excellent job on my yard. They are very
reasonable in price and do an excellent job. They are all about the
customer and quality of their work. Ryan the owner cares about his
clients and works hard for less. He cuts my grass every week and goes
beyond most lawn companies, I would recommend him to anybody that cares
about quality. He also does paver work and landscaping as well, I will
be in contact with him to do most of that work because of the quality
work he does.
