Chris came out and did a great job, even did a couple extra things he didn’t have to do but saw that weren’t done right from previous work done by another company and didn’t want to leave them like that (30 minutes worth of work for free). Very knowledgeable and was honest about what needed to be done versus just trying to get money out of me. Jeff was great in getting Chris out to me quickly in a couple days versus other companies telling me it would be 2-4 weeks.

They had to be called out several times, after there were still issues, blaming them on us, or saying that it worked fine. Multiple days had to be spent at relatives, because of the lousy service. The unit was covered by RheemWe are now having issues again, with only an 8 degree difference of the room temperature and the output temperature. Without a doubt we are calling another company.
Response from CLEAN AIR TECHNOLOGIES

"We were called out and found that the drain line was clogged up and the float switch had caused the unit to cycle on and off. our technician cleaned the drain line which was a maintenance issue. the customer called the next day to say it was not cooling again and insisted on a different technician. we sent a different tech who found that now the compressor in a two year old system had failed. This was on Friday the 28th of June. Randy from our company actually went out that evening after hours and brought the customer two portable air conditioners at no charge to the homeowner. We contacted Rheem and ordered a replacement outdoor unit, not just the compressor. Rheem provided us with the new unit on Monday July 1st although the homeowner was out of her 1 year labor warranty we discounted the unit replacement from $450 to $150 so her total out of pocket expense for a system out of our labor warranty was only$150 the rental for the portable a/c was $0 We tried our best, if another problem occurred after we were there on July 1st we were not contacted. We always stand behind our work and have been in business for over 23 years in port saint lucie. Again the bill on july 1st was $150 not $1000"

They were polite, professional, and informative. They gave me information on future care for the ducts and my unit and I liked that. And it just feels cleaner in my apartment. I am sneezing less!

This was previously scheduled work to the system of a newly purchased house, Clean Air installed the system originally in 2006 when the house was constructed and my daughter has used them with sucess in the past. When we moved in we called them because we had some issues due to the system sitting unused for a few years.
The technician was first class. Called in the morning to confirm the appointment. He arrived as expected, was considerate, through and reliable. The required work was completed quickly and completely for the price contracted. Everything was explained and the system is ready for the summer.

Great company! Prior to replacing my air conditioner, they tried to save me money by replacing a part (even though my A/C was probably over 20 years old). After the part replacement, the air conditioner stopped working again after two days. They came back immediately to explain my options. They gave me a quote. When I asked to have the part that I had previously paid for deducted from the amount, they agreed. Throughout the entire installation, the men were very professional and even managed to make minimal damage in my garden next to the outside part of the air conditioner (I know this was a challenge for them). After the installation, they picked up most of their mess (my only minor dissapointment was that they left a very small mess in the garage).
The A/C units in the garage and outside were installed much more professionally than the previous installation (grounded better and with more insulation).
I just got my first A/C bill. My electric bill is now half of what I use to pay!

I called around to several companies, be carefull they all sounded good on the phone. when i called clean air the girl in the office was very nice and detailed, she asked for my email address, i asked why and she explained that even when they send someone out for an estimate that when the person is on the way they will email me their picture. I thought it is nice to know and have a record of anyone coming to my house.

I set up a 2pm meeting and at 140pm I recieved the email with jeff's picture saying he was on the way. He got to my home at 155pm

he explained everything that they would do and what was differant with his company over others, Wow these guys were right on and did a great job.
I even received an email when their workers were coming over with their pics I can't stress enough being alone with a small child how comforting it is to find this level of professionalism and security

when they cleaned my ducts they even were able to measure and show me the level of stuff (dust etc) in my air before and after.
I have had my ducts cleaned before but never like this and was never shown a device that can measure the air quality before, I guess most other companies only care about the money and not the job, these guys cared that it was done right.

they then installed a new lennox system and again they showed me every step of the way what they were doing. when done the air was colder than ever before and the system was so quite i cant even hear it run!
then joey even vacuumed the area they worked in and offered to vacuum more, but i did not want to take advantage of him:)
thanks again to Jeff (btw he is the owner) kennard, rob and Joey you all did a great job!!

And you might want to know how i still know their names, it was on the email with their pics! sorry i just love that!

A technician came out to evaluate an AC problem. He found that the line filter/drier had rusted and was leaking Freon. He said he did not have the supplies to make the repair at that time but would put what little Freon he had left in to hold us over till he returned the following day. The technician gave me a repair proposal that was created by using a flip chart type selection analysis and said we could call around for quotes but we would find that they were very competitive in pricing. He said our Goodman AC unit had a 5 year warranty on parts and a 10 year warranty on the compressor. With the unit being about 5 years old he suspected the line filter may be under warranty. In addition his boss was very fair with charges and his boss goes over the billing to help the customers. With that information I didn’t pursue other estimates (mistake) and we had the repairs completed. Unfortunately the part was not covered by warranty and I’m assuming his boss had no intention of modifying the bill. At the completion of the repair I was presented with and paid the full $717.50 bill. (Complete payment was required) After being told by multiple contacts that I was over charged I made calls to 4 local service companies for estimates to make the same line filter/drier replacement. Unfortunately all 4 were under $300.00. I was thinking the second Recover Repair, Evacuate, Charge $385.94 was a double charge. Maybe by accident, I called Clean Air Technologies to question the bill however the receptionist did not allow me to talk to the owner for verification. She said that they had gone over the bill and it was correct and there would be no adjustment. Why did I wait so long to make a review? I wanted time get over anger and to evaluate if my review was justified. My purpose is to let people know they need to get multiple estimates!!
Response from CLEAN AIR TECHNOLOGIES

"Actually we were called out on June 14th 2009 (Sunday) We charged $89 for a diagnostic charge that determined that his unit was low on refrigerant. Joe added 2 lbs of refrigerant no charge and suggested he return to do a thorough leak check as his system might still be under warranty. He returned on Monday to complete an electronic leak check for $75 found that the only leak present was on the Filter drier external to the air conditioning unit. He charged $166 for the drier plus installation including all welding supplies and 1 hour of labor. we also charged $385.94 for reclaiming the old refrigerant, evacuating and completely recharging the system with new r-22 refrigerant. Just for a quick break down on all charges. all technicians for our company are paid aproximately $20 per hour, with matching taxes and insurance it cost us $40 per hour. so for the $89 diagnostic charge on Sunday it would be about 1.5 hours so $60 including the driving time. then add fuel and wear and tear on the service truck so we net about $10. as for another company only charging $300 common sense says they will run in and out and not reclaim the refrigerant, they will not use nitrogen during the brazing process and they will not even use a vacuum pump to evacuate the system prior to recharging it. We constantly see this unprofessional in our industry. I hope this explains our charges and the secretary should have allowed you to speak with me. Call anytime Jeffrey Almeida. Pres.
