"My name is Robert Cseak and I am the owner of American pools of St. Lucie Inc.I am responding to this ex customers attack on my business. This customer accuses me of not showing up , not returning calls, and then damaging a motor that he feels should be replaced for free.I will address each issue . I have serviced this account for approx. 5 years, during which time the customer has continuesley locked the only entrance to there patio pool, they then call me up feeling I should come back and service the pool again because they forgot to leave it open .After awhile they got my employees cell phone and would call him to reschedule service as they needed. I can and will back everything I say up because for the last 4 years all of my fleet vehicles have been tracked by G.P. S. satelite 24 hours a day , 7 days a week, to confirm service to all my customers.Last Dec the service man doing this clients route was injured at work and unable to return since then we have went thru a few people servicing this client route. As of March 1st 2012 this customer cancelled service stating they were doing it themselves. I made a note and my secretary stopped service. The customer then sent in a payment for March on 15th, my secretary thought she made a mistake and restarted service immediately . On April 1st The customer called me again to stop service which I believed had already been done and did not return her call. not knowing my secretary had made a mistake and restarted service. The next week on April10 my partner showed up at there home to provide service to their pool with a employee in training. He went to adjust the valve on the pump that allows us to service the pool and noticed the pump was not running. Tom then checked the breaker and found it tripped, he then reset the breaker tried the motor and it tripped the breaker again . Tom then went inside to inform the customer of the problem, at which time the customer informed him he had cancelled service and asked him to leave. At this time the member called and left a message to call her back. Her call went to voicemail because I was driving at the time of her call . About an hour latter her husband called and left a hostile voicemail which I then called back to figure out what was going on,as I thought they were off service anyway. The customer was upset and started accusing my guy of damaging his motor which he thought should be replaced for free because he dont think coincidences happen at which point I hung up on him . I installed the motor that has failed on his pool on Sept 6th 2008. Any pool contractor called by anyone would tell them the life expectancy of a pool motor in south Florida is 1 to 3 years, this motor is 31/2 years old and failed from old age not from anything my guy did to the pump in front of a witness( Employee in training ) . I try to be polite when a customer is trying to get free repairs on alleged damage on equipment that has worn out ( by coincidence or not) . The remarks posted by this ex client are posted in an attempt to receive a free motor and nothing more! As for my ex clients slanderous charge of vandalizing her motor , I intend to take that matter up with my attorney, and I will also be talking to them about how Angies list allows slanderous accusations to be posted to your website without verifying with accused companies or individuals beforehand. I have been in the Swimming Pool industry for 28 years, I have ran American Pools of St. Lucie for 16 years , I service well over 300 Pools monthly , And in no way would have been able to stay in business this long if I ran my co. the way this ex customer claims. I believe in the right to express ones opinion , but slanderous attack without any proof offered by people trying to blackmail small business for free stuff is were it should end.And if the law agrees it will end. I will be in touch reel soon . Sincerely Robert Cseak owner"
