Upon a recommendation of a neighbor, we called AE Electric, and an electrician (Mike) was sent out to the house that afternoon. He determined that the dimmer switch was wired correctly but the switch itself was defective. I was able to quickly purchase a replacement switch which Mike installed and successfully tested.
