ead The Reviews bogus 5 star ratings and then read the true 1 star ratings Vincent Mineo has proven to be a thief and habitual liar. The only reason I will give this rating is to help future victims. He had me give a 5 star review before he even did the work. He also told me to write a check directly to him for 263 which he cashed the same day ! This was two months ago. I am most definitely filing a report for this reason shame on you! (I called PRISTINE appliance repair they are honest !!!!!!!! And have serviced a lot of Vincent’s victims! God bless !

I was robbed similarly like other potential customers. Vincent came to my home to give an estimate to repair a clothes dryer. With a charge of $375, Vincent requested a cash deposit of $270 which I unfortunately paid. After that we never heard from the company again. Multiple calls were left unanswered and we never saw another person from this company ever again. That was in Nov 2023. It is now Jan 2024, and we got the dryer fixed by a company that repaired it in two days. A & J Appliance are thieves. Buyer Beware, especially other Seniors like us.

Well apparently I should have done my homework. Unfortunately Vincent had me write a check out to him “personally” for the cost of the part to repair my dryer. I did question that and he replied that he personally has to order the part. I should have insisted to make the check out to the company- probably would not have mattered though as this seems to be their MO from the other reviews I have read. I have now had 3 scheduled appointments with a 4 hour window for him to come back with the PAID FOR part $205 check cashed by Vincent. And I have had ALL THREE of those appointments result in NO SHOWS. These appointments are 4 hour windows that you have to hang around and wait for someone to show up then no one ever does. Even the very first scheduled appointment was a no show. I have heard every excuse from Vincent and the other employees/owners of this company. They don’t answer the phone once you are on to them. They say they will call you back in 10 minutes but never do. Unfortunately now I am out $205 and will be filling my complaint with the BBB. I have been told by the new company I will be using for my repair that this is their MO and they have several customers who have been screwed over by A & J Appliance Repair. I would suggest you DO NOT use them as you will get ripped off. I’m not sure how they are even still in business with all of the reviews I have now read. BEWARE. I will be waiting one week for a REFUND check of $205 before I file with BBB. You have been put on notice.

A breadth of fresh air knowing good people still exist! I was away for the weekend and came home to a broken fridge (everything in the freezer had defrosted). I called Tony at 730AM and he immediately called back. He came over that afternoon to look at my refrigerator and it was fixed within 30 minutes. Tony was extremely honest with me and even took the time to teach me a few things. I highly recommend hiring this company!

This company and their "customer service" is a joke. They are the rudest and most condescending men that I have had the displeasure of dealing with in a long time. Do not waste your time or money!

"THIS CUSTOMER was charged a service call $89.95 which was explained to them .IT WAS EXPLAINED 4 TIMES, IF you do not fix it you must pay the $89.95. We do not come to your house for free tell you what’s wrong and then leave ….. THIS CUSTOMER DID NOT , AND I REPEAT IT AGAIN DID NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE CALL . this customer called up, said it was a new dishwasher.A&J said it was under warranty The customer said that they bought it used and it was NEW and it was a couple of months old. That was A BIG BIG LIE It’s over 3years old. The Tech sheet and schematic sheet were missing,, A&J SERVICE told the customer That we will look up the parts give us a day OR TWO we need to get to tech sheet which was missing from the dishwasher. FROM THE FACTORY The next day she called up we explained to her that we are waiting for the factory to send over the exact tech sheet for that dishwasher. She proceeded to say that the technician out there was rude, which was a lie, and he did nothing which was a lie. I have the original work order. THE Technician did clean up the dishwasher, and drain line .Stated on the invoice. It says no schematic sheet text sheet is available. This customer was very rude on the phone to the owner and explained to her again the process the technician was out there. The technician cleaned the drain line that technician told her what was wrong, The customer then said don’t bother coming back. We told the Customer have a nice day. A&J appliance repair service has a signed invoice stating exactly what was wrong and she was charged me $89.95 if you need proof, I will send over the signed invoice with the signature date and any other information. Thank you and have a great day."

A & J was great! They came to my home the same day I called for service. The service call fee was explained beforehand, and the quote that was given was detailed thoroughly, showing the price of the part and labor. Once my part came in I was notified and scheduled for the following morning. The technician came out and completed the job quickly and efficiently. He was very knowledgeable and was willing to show me and explain to me exactly what he was doing. I would recommend their services to anyone that needs a repair done. Thank you A & J.

It was terrible! They said they would have the part and they said that they will cancel the repair but I payed the money for the part. They said that they will gave me a check but a month go by but still no check until now.

He came the same day we called him. He have the part so he worked for it for 45 minutes. It was wonderful. He cleaned the coil for free. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. I have some pieces that I wanted to replace and he ordered the part for me. They were reliable and came when they said they would. Update: He will not get your item in stock and will not return your phone calls.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! A service technician came to our home and diagnosed a faulty part and required me to pre pay for the part, in which I did. He said the part would take 3-5 days to come in. After 4 long months of trying to get them to come back to my home to make the repair (after numerous phone calls, unanswered messages and texts) I finally contacted the BBB for assistance with getting my money back for the part I paid for. After going back and forth, they continued to lie about everything and never offered to refund the money I paid them for the part. I have given up because you can’t win with a company that has no regard for the truth. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a Service company.

Our experience has been terrible. They came on October 18, 2021 to work on our dishwasher which is only three years old. We were told is was the motherboard, wrote a check for $310.00 for parts and labor. When the board finally came in, so we were told, it was installed and still did not work. Vincent, the technician, said the new board was defective but there was probably one other part he could order that might make it work. Told it would be about two to three weeks. This is last we heard. We have been ask to send a copy of the invoice twice ,if not three times, so they could get things straightened out. We have sent a new copy each time requested. I have left voicemails, as has my wife, repeatedly but no resolution. Vincent even wrote on the invoice to refund us 220 dollars minus the service charge at one point but that was weeks ago. We have been lied to or ignored through this whole process. I would not recommend them to anyone!

Vincent was sent out took a 300 deposit for a job that was quoted 375 to repair. Was told he needed to order a part.. after 3 or 4 excuses and terrible customer service. We decided to cancel the service and ask for a deposit refund. Was advised it will take 5-7 business days . Two weeks later they still have our money and don't respond to called .. thieves and liars please do your self a huge favor do not use this company!

A&J BUYS all parts direct from the factory it was also explain to this customer that he’s getting a refund back minus the service call so I don’t understand what the confusion is on his END,,, It was clearly explain to him"

Repairman came and recommended resealing around the icemaker so it would stop freezing up. Also, recommended replacing the gasket on the door of the upright freezer. He came back a week later (Nov 20th) and resealed the icemaker and said if that didn't fix the problem call him and he would come back. He also replaced the gasket on the upright freezer. Results = the ice maker is still freezing up and the upright freezer is icing up more than it was before he replaced the gasket. I I waited until after Christmas to call them back to let them know that the icemaker is still freezing up and the technician (Vincent) immediately started complaining that I had waited so long to call him and let him know that the icemaker was still freezing up. He said at least five times that he wished I had not waited so long to call him back and I explained that I was waiting until the holidays were over and that the time that had passed proved that the problems were not corrected and I just needed the refrigerator and freezer fixed. He said he would have to charge me for the sealant etc. that he would have to use to fix the problem. I told him OK as long as the problem is taken care of. He told me that he would stop by the next afternoon (Dec 31st) late and take care of it. He did not show up nor did he call to let me know he couldn't come. I called back the Monday after New Years (after that holiday) and he asked me to let him call me back in 10 minutes. I said OK but he did not call me back. I have called the company a number of times and left messages and it is now January 17th, 2021 and I still have not heard from them. I am upset that they charged me to fix these problems and then failed to make things right. They not only have ignored my calls and requests, they lied to me. I am also going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

It turned out that the original repair service that was called mis-diagnosed what was wrong with the dishwasher. This other repair service even ordered a supposed part that we paid for and waited to have shipped for weeks, when we kept inquiring as to where the part was and when the service would be performed we were at a loss. So we decided to contact A&J appliance repair Tony Mineo and crew and they came out literally the next day to check the Dishwasher and diagnose and confirmed that the previous repair company did not diagnose the issue correctly and offered us the correct advice to resolve the issue. Thanks to A&J we were able to bring about a resolution to the matter quickly and efficiently, I recommend this company to anyone looking to have their Appliances repaired.

Great,Tony the owner came out personally diagnose the issue and fix the problem properly, It was a bad fuse , While he was here I asked him to look at my dishwasher because it wasn’t draining all the water out completely .it was a simple fix the disposal was causing the issue,The drain Was clogged where The water comes out into the garbage disposal . he fixed it for free and didn’t charge me.

Service was awesome , had another company out there before A&J Decided to get a second opinion , A&J came out to fix my refrigerator it was a simple fix, and when he was here I ask the technician if he could look at my dryer , he said no problem ,he didn’t even charge me ,it was the knob it was stripped and he fixed it , The owner answered all my Questions,and was very friendly and Honest upfront basically told me what the fees were and told me it seemed like it was not going to be an expensive repair ,The technician was super Marcus did an awesome job , I would highly recommend this company

"The customer IS NOT being honest , cost of the repair was $465.00 +TAX she had a control touch pad board and main board installed ,parts alone COST WAS $347.00 LABOR WAS $118.00 . All of this was explained to the customer and the amount was explain to the customer , if she had an issue why didn’t she not tell us do not repair it ,That was three weeks ago she called up and said it wasn’t getting cold enough technician went out there no CHARGE ,told her nothings wrong with the unit , customer then called Frigidaire . Frigidaire went out there and told her there’s nothing wrong with the refrigerator , The customer calls us back on April 7 asking for a partial refund I told the customer your joking aren’t you ,she told me no and if I don’t give her a refund she’s going to write me a bad review on Angie’s list I told her go ahead do what you have to do,All I can say is one thing THIS CUSTOMER IS not being truthful and not an honest person, looking to get something for free.LETS recap the customer has a working refrigerator and one say Refund sounds a little fishy wouldn’t you say ."

I am writing this to warn anyone from using A& J Appliance!!!!! I got their name from your list and what a mistake that was. At the initial service call they said a part was needed and they would need to come back as they didn’t have it on their truck (a very common part).Two days later an appointment was made for 5pm and the technician arrived almost 2 hours late and installed that part….but that did not fix the problem. They arrived almost 2 hours late again the next day and now realized they had misdiagnosed the problem and another part was needed, which should have been noticed right away as the piece that was damaged was right in the front of the refrigerator. The same technician was extremely rude and unapologetic for his mistake. Two days later the new part was installed and the technician left without cleaning up his mess or apologizing for his mistake. The refrigerator still does not work properly after almost $300 of repairs. I would DEFINITELY not recommend this company to anyone …as they are extremely unprofessional, rude and incompetent. Please do not use them on Angie’s List if you value your reputation.
