work not yet performed, but materials have been selected by me & charged to him.

We could not have been more pleased with Mike, daughter and son. They were prompt, professional, cleaned up each day and affordable. I am very grateful to have found this company and would not hesitate to hire back for future updates. I am saddened to see the one negative, damaging review which does not even sound close to the character of this crew. It simply shows me where there is always, two sides to each story.

Work was mostly done by son and daughter, recommended by maintenance people in my building. He came in for actual plumbing work, did not recommend licensed plumber, he could do work he said. Assumed since he said that and had done other plumbing in this building and they recommended him that he was licensed plumber, he is not. He did not even pull permits with the city, although he said he was handling all details. On last day, after he came in for final adjustment and look over, shortly after he left, the water pipe behind shower broke. Over $6500 damage to my condo. He said it wasn't his fault. He did the plumbing. All the tiles in shower fell that night, laminate floors ruined throughout my condo. Huge mess. He wanted to charge me to fix shower, yes, charge again for same work. Did not stand behind his work. With my insurance claim, my company attempting yo surrogate against his carrier, he lied to them and said water pipe break was five feet from his work and was actually between floors, it was not, it was where he installed new faucet. Nightmare! Stay away!

He did a great job. He and his son and daughter are professional, but friendly. I was very pleased. He got an initial estimate from an electrician, but the electrician sent someone else who increased the price immediately. Mr McDonnell called the electrician and got him to do the job at his original estimate. I was impressed that he held the original electrician to his original estimate. I would use him again.

We very highly recommend family owned and operated Remodeling Specialists for any renovation job. Mike O'Donnell with his son and daughter are a pleasure to work with. They completely renovated our kitchen and bathrooms, coordinating the design and planning of all installations from the cabinets to electrical and plumbing. We followed Mike's recommendations for sources for kitchen design, cabinets,tile, fixtures, plumbing and electrical work. They coordinated closely with the designer, plumbing and electrical contractors to avoid any significant delays.
They started the work on schedule and completed within a very reasonable timeframe. Workmanship from to installing cabinets, to laying tile, to painting was superb. They disposed of all the old materials and did an amazing clean up of the interior after the job was finished.
Mike's quote was very reasonable, and he went above and beyond in diagnosing and correcting a window leak, and doing some work not originally specified at very minimal additional cost.

The work was better than expected, and added more to the work than expected. I had gotten an added operating door under the sink counter than expected. Mike insisted we go with the lazy susan in the lower cabinet and I'm so very happy he suggested that. We felt as though we had known him for years and so happy we found him. The crew cleaned up after themselves each day before leaving. We are very pleased

At the point I contacted Mike, we had professional, courtesy and friendly conversations from start to finish. We felt we had known him for many years. He and his crew came at 7:30 on a Monday and was done by Thursday mid afternoon. They spent a good part of the day each day, worked the entire day without breaks and stayed on task. We were very impressed with their knowledge and the price they charged was very reasonable. Mike has been working hard with us to plan out our kitchen now with countless trips back to his contact store to meet our budget. The crew cleaned up all their messes each day, even my floors. They laid drop clothes down from my front door to the bathroom so not to get our flooring dirty with the in and out trips. It was a very pleasant experience to have them do our work, therefore I took it upon myself to put them on Angie's List to give their review. Licensed and Insured so there is no worry about coverage if needed. Their motto is: and quot;Making old houses new and new houses betterand quot;. Don't hesitate to call this company.
