After replacing brand new Trane air handler which was blamed for the repeated icing and rusting of our mother board, they talked us into buying a Carrier unit which they said would perform better. They also had redone ductwork with the Trane. Prior to their changing duct work, we never had this issue which became very annoying, frustrating and time consuming with so many call backs to fix. Bottom line, after Carrier unit installed and several freeze ups with the coils, we decided the air was not moving fast enough and was staying inside to freeze the coils that thawed, rusting them multiple times both brands. They had suggested the allergy filter that caused the reconfiguring of our ductwork, so we wasted money on allergy filter that could not work in our application, bought two new AC units, and had way too many call backs for a problem their sales person should have known with better training would NOT work in our application, saving us money, time, and much angst. Finally with going to paperless, we decided to end the relationship, as we kept service papers in zip lock bag each service to follow who did what and when. They also allowed mold to grow on the support plyboard and told me they would replace, but instead plastered over, not knowing I had photos, and when I saw a few stains missed and called them out, and many phone calls, finally got the management and owner to fix. It was the nightmare from ****. They previously had also replaced both of our hot water heaters, relocated them, and thus, also had to repipe everything. We spent a fortune with them, but despite our loyalty, we see we were taken advantage of. One of their maintenance people clogged the bottom drain in upstairs AC unit, which collected water condensation, which overflowed into the closet space below. After a few calls, they filed an insurance report, and gave us money to repair tongue and groove hardwood floors, but who wants to go through all of that dusty mess? The boards are still warped in my walk in closet with a big rug over the floor but the water did cup less noticeably the hardwood flooring in the adjacent closet, master bedroom, hallway, and attached office space as water tends to run down the support underneath the house. Anyway, no one is perfect, we gave them chances, but honestly they should stay with commercial clients and train sales person better to know which system/ parts works best for that particular location.
