ISABELLE'S ANTIQUES

Arcadia is one of our favorite places to visit to browse antique shops. We wish we had more time to visit this one more often. The one shop that stands out for us in Arcadia is Isabelle's Antiques. We met the father, mother, and son that run the shop as well as their sweet dog. We could tell that they enjoy what they do and know what they are looking at. We really bonded and loved talking with each of them. My first impression of this shop was a walk down memory lane. Their taste in inventory is head and shoulders above what I've seen in most antique shops. They truly know the meaning of what an antique is. I could tell that they share the love that we have of preserving the history of the items. For each item, there is a memory and/or memories and that should be preserved. To walk in and see true pieces of Meissen/Dresden, Loetz, Bohemian glass, the lustres that were near the front window, antique tools, very nice and unusual pieces of furniture, etc.-etc.-etc.- was a real treat. We are planning a return trip in the near future and will spend most of our time there.
