When I called for an appointment they could not have been more accommodating and understanding. They told me they were pretty sure they knew what the problem was and how to fix it. And they did!
John came on time, his quote was all up front with no surprises. John when through the entire mechanism made a lot of adjustments and replaced the original rollers with quieter, nylon coated ones. He adjusted the spring and lubricated everything.
When he ran it for me, it still made quite a bit of noise. His very professional response was a simple, "let me do it again." After a second go through it made no unexpected noises (and hasn't since).
Perhaps more importantly, he took the time to show me exactly were the problems were and how to take care of them myself. It turns out that the kind of door we have (hurricane-proof) has hinges and contract between the door elements that require periodic lubrication. He showed me exactly where to do it and me how.

I got the quote immediately both verbally and through my email, turned out it was just a spring. I called them a few days later to schedule the repair, and again, they were able to get someone out there (adhering to my husband and I's work schedule, again) within two days (and the woman on the phone actually apologized for not being able to get someone out the very next day on our schedule...they did have availability but not within our time window that was best for us). They went ahead and replaced both since one one spring goes the other is likely about to go as well.

My initial contact with D and D Garage Doors was an email through their website. I received a phone call from D and D early the next morning and was given a quote over the phone of $229 to replace both garage door springs. They recommended replacing both springs because of potential failure of the second spring which did make sense. D and D Garage Doors set up an appointment at 11:00am that morning and their technician Mike arrived on time. He first measured and confirmed the size of the springs and started his work. He was courteous and did this repair quickly and efficiently and was finished in under 25 minutes. D and D Garage Doors was my first choice after researching many garage install/repair companies in my area. They had the most satisfied customers and now they have one more. I will definitely use them in the future.
