WAY OVERCHARGED! They quickly responded, came to our house, and repaired the AC. It was a Saturday so we were charged extra ($137) for the service call. While I know that is standard practice, and believe that is a screwing since it is just another work day, that is not my complaint as they were up front about that charge. HOWEVER, I reviewed my bill after the technician left and realized they charged $153.13 for the part (a capacitor). I looked up the part on Amazon and for the exact same part (same brand and model #), Amazon charged $9 with free shipping. I understand they need to make money on the part, BUT a markup from $9 to $153 is robbery. Astonished, I texted the technician who called me and quickly became argumentative. I said that I understood and was willing to pay the higher service call fee and understand that they also need to make money on the part but was astonished at the 15X markup. He justified the exceedingly high price of the part by saying: "I also charge overtime prices on the part" and "That's how all other AC guys would charge you" and "Welcome to AC 2023". Again, while I understand they need to make a living, and was willing to pay a higher Saturday charge, blatantly being ripped off for the part cost and such poor justifications were shocking, unnecessary, and worse than poor business. As it is not my practice to write poor reviews, as we are all human and make errors, I sent a message to the company stating my complaint. They did not even bother to respond. So in this case, it seemed proper to warn others.

My AC compressor stopped working on a Friday night. In a mild panic I called their number and spoke with their answering service. They explained that there would be an overtime charge for emergency service at night, to which I agreed. Shortly after that, 4 seasons called me back and told me that a technician was on the way. He showed up promptly and on time. This whole process was pretty quick, especially considering that it was Friday night. My air conditioner is somewhat more complicated than most, and the technician honestly admitted that he wasn't familiar with the electronics controlling mine. He replaced a capacitor, and the AC started right up, I was happy, I paid the charge, and he left. A half hour later, the AC quit running. The next service call, the tech (a different one) showed up promptly and on time. He replaced a wire in the thermostat circuit, and the AC started right up. I appreciate that 4 seasons stands behind their work, as they did not charge me for this service. A few hours later, the AC quit running. The next tech also showed up promptly and on time. He diagnosed a bad electronic circuit board, which can only be tested by replacing it. 4 Seasons said they would only charge me for their cost of the board and no labor, since they had failed to fix it before. After he left to pick up the board locally, I realized that the circuit board was under warranty. I called the manufacturer to verify the warranty, and then called 4 Seasons to advise them of the warranty status. The circuit board turned out to be the problem. The AC runs just fine now. The purpose of this review is to pay my highest compliment to a company which stands behind its work and cares for its customers. I believe that the AC problem was legitimately hard to diagnose,and I commend 4 Seasons for not giving up. They were more than fair with me, I only paid for the first visit and the circuit board was under warranty.

"On 04/17/2009 Four Seasons air conditioning was called out to perform a maintenance inspection. When our technician arrived he found that the thermostat was shorted out due to a safety float switch that was installed at the air handler to shut system down in case of a backed up drain line was wired in wrong. This was our first trip to the customers home. We are not sure who or what company had been to their home previously. The technician rewired the float switch properly and replaced the shorted thermostat. He also found system was 2 lbs low on r-22 and recharged unit with 2 lbs r-22. Customer was charged $69.95 for the one time maintenance inspection. $148.00 for the thermostat and $65.00 for 2 lbs of r-22. The customer called back on 04/20/2009 and we sent the service manager out for system not cooling. He found that the reversing valve switch in thermostat was not switched over. He switched over and checked over system and everything was fine. He upgraded the customer to the ESA maintenance agreement which gave her 2 maintnance inspections for a one year period and discount pricing. The cost of the ESA was $139.00. We then credited back the customer $69.95 for the one time maintenance inspection and $58.00 for the savings off the thermostat and 2 lbs r-22. Total refund was $127.95 on check # 44696. We then returned on 01/11/2010 to perform the second maintenance inspection due for her ESA, where everything checked out fine. We have not heard back from customer since the last maintenance done on 01/11/2010. We never performed any services here on February 03, 2013."
