Ponte Vedra Bicycles

Took the bike in to get evaluated. Diagnosed the problem right away and go the bike back later that afternoon. Would definitely use this company again.

I had a bad experience with another bike shop in the area....I had purchased a new bike, assembled it (it basically came in 3 main parts, with very easy assembly), but could not get the brakes properly adjusted.

I took it to a local bike shop, and was basically told, "that's what you get for trying to assemble it on you own...you should have just paid the $80 to have a professional assemble it."

So...I looked for bicycle repair on Angie's List and found Ponte Vedra Bicycles.   I drove in today around 2:30, asked if it could be adjusted, and the customer care was GREAT.   He offered to get the bike out and back into my car, then made the adjustments I needed, plus tightened the seat and pedals.   I was in and out in 30 minutes, and he was so friendly.    I plan to take my daughter's bike in for a tune-up.

Couldn't be better. I called and scheduled an appointment. Dropped bikes off in the morning and picked them up later that same day. Price was what he had told me.

I was met with a friendly smile which always starts things off well. Explained teenage boys bicycles - bent tires, rusted chains, etc. but quality equipment. Also my recumbant bike with lots of use. Many of repairs needed. Expected to return in a couple of days to pickup the bikes. Was informed that they would be ready by 4:00 pm. (Hard to believe with the work needed). Returned at 4:00 pm to find the work completed. Was given a helping hand in loading the bikes on the car. Bikes (other than looks) are like new. A great experience. Would highly recommend for sales or service.

We went in with three bicycles in various states of disrepair, to get estimates to repair. The gentleman unloaded the truck for us, gave us reasonable estimates, and offered alternatives for two of the bikes. We ended up trading one bike in on a new bike, very reasonably priced before the trade-in. He fitted the bike to my daughter right there. He also installed a light on the bike for us (we live off a semi-rural road - poorly lit). We actually spent less trading in and getting the new bike than we would have to repair it. The repaired bike is like new. The gentleman had everything done in a couple hours and helped us out with delivery. Awesome shop, awesome people. Have been in business over 15 years, and very down to earth. Bikes for families, casual riders - not racing bikes. They will get my repeat business. In fact, thinking of trading my bike for a new cruiser.
