United States Swim Academy

Swimming classes for two boys ages 3 and 8. The instructors were friendly. When the instructors are absent; the owner replaces them and the experience is completely different. She is not familiar with the children progress and not able to tailor the class for them. My experience was one of the worst experiences any parent had to endure. Needless to say, my 3-year-old son did not learn how to swim. He is more afraid of water now that he was prior to the class. US Swim academy refused to refund me for all the fees. The owner also kicked my older son from classes once I expressed my intentions to stopping classes for my 3-yr. old. She was very rude and abrupt with my family and indicated that my son was having a tantrum instead of acknowgling that she was not effective and should have learn more about the students before stepping in for one of her swimming coaches. My son was screaming, swallowing water, coughing and getting red the whole time he was with her. She even told me that I was an irresponsible parent for pulling my son out of swimming class instead of recommending other ways of handling a child that has a fear of water. I really hope that no other parent has to endure what my family did.
