My house is about 3800 square feet. I chose him primarily because he lived way below most all the other quotes I got. He was probably about 30-40% less than the other quotes I got. So I liked the price, but you know the old saying "you get what you pay for."  With him, language barrier was a problem. He bought the wrong paint. Like I might have told him that I wanted semi-gloss, he would buy gloss. I told him flat, he would buy pearl. So he painted my walls with he wrong finish. It was a very floppy work. For that kind of job and the kind of health I have, and for that kind of money you are paying, I expected a little bit better professionalism. Well, I chose him because he gave a very good impression when I first met with him. He made me feel very comfortable, but then ultimately the work that he did, he was never on the job, I never saw him again and his workers that were on the job they did not speak English and there was miscommunication between him and his workers. He was too busy to show up on the job. In the end, he tried to charge me like $4000 more. So I think that is kind of what he does, he bids low to get your job and then he jacks up the price in the end. I just would not stand for it. I ended up paying what he really quoted me and got the job done. It just was a big headache. I was here everything single day. He made it a very difficult process. I think that if you are very price sensitive and that is all you can afford then he is okay to go with, but I think that if you want a little bit more professionalism and not have to baby sit the workers, I would not go with him. He told me he was going to start one day, and then he did not start like two weeks later.

Poor quality of work from coverage to detail. Very messy, paint on floor, cabinets, etc. Was not very receptive to pointing out mistakes. Would not hire again or recommend. His sales pitch is good, the quality of work was fair to poor.

In a word - - - Excellent!!  From the initial consultation & estimate through the  final walkthru of the completed job, we were happy! Alex came out on a Saturday morning to perform a 2nd consultation when I panicked and changed my mind about paint choices.  He arrived everyday on time. He called me every evening to discuss what was accomplished earlier that day, and to explain what task would be completed the following day. He texted me pictures of the painted rooms every evening! He advised us on color choice. He gave one particular room three coats of paint so the color and hue would we meet both of our expectations! He asked for feedback. He and his employees took care not to scratch my freshly refinished hardwood floors, and even honored my request not to use tape on the floors (as I was advised they weren't completely cured and tape could ruin the finish.)  It's refreshing to see a craftsman take such pride in his work and his client's satisfaction. We are hiring Alex again in a couple weeks to paint our townhome...and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for painting services in South Florida.

I hired Soares General Service to paint the whole interior of my home. Alex was punctual and professional throughout the 3 days it took him to paint the interior walls and all the trim work in our house, including several french doors and wainscot. They cleaned up every night and made sure we where 100% happy with the whole house before he collected the final payment. I already referred Alex to several of my neighbors. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for paint work.

I had just purchased a home in florida that was badly in need of painting, i was recommended to Soares General Services Co by a friend, i met with Alex Soares on a tuesday evening on the same day i arrived in Boca Raton from up north, i was instantly impressed with the professionalism  Alex displayed with his knowledge of the business, and his willingness to accommodate  my request that i had to have the job completed within my time frame as i was scheduled to return home six days later, as far as the cost was involved, his quoted price was far superior to any other estimates i received.
The job was completed on time, the workmanship was excellent and he didn't cut any corners he provided the best materials and workmen, needless to say i was very happy with project and i would not hesitate to recommend this company or use them again if the need arises. The experience with Soares was FIRST CLASS!  They estimated the project would take 5-7 days, and they completed it in 4.  Additionally, their staff was prompt, professional, and respectful of the community rules and policies.  The owner (Alex) was always available, and spend ample time at the job site each day, including doing a fair share of the work himself.  The quality of the painting was impeccable, and they also went the extra step of cleaning all debris and leaving my place spotless when done.  Their pricing was very reasonable, and they only asked for 1/3 of the job up front for materials.  They also followed up after completion, to ensure I was happy with the quality of their work.  I would gladly use Soares again, and I would certainly recommend them to anyone who requires painting services.  THANK YOU SOARES!
