SEALMASTER

I live in a historic neighborhood in downtown Ft. Laud. I needed a simple patch and seal repair job. I had gotten several est. and was given a brochure for Sealmaster. I read the brochure and called the main office. They then referred me to their local rep. in Pompano. The rep. then referred me to the contractor they use. They only gave me one contractor so I called and he came out very quickly and gave me an est. in line with the others that I had received. They were delayed from their original start date in January because of weather. They finally came out and started. The job ended up spread over several days, because of weather or they kept running out of asphalt. They finished the job and I paid the contractor, who told me to stay off of drive for at least 24 hrs. So, once the sealer was dry I walked out and took a good look... There were still cracks that were supposed to be filled. They had sealed over dirt where asphalt was supposed to be put down. The seal coat was uneven and spots had been entirely missed. I called them back. He showed up and I took him around and pointed out all of these things. He said no problem it's all garanteed for a year and they proceeded to cut out spots they had missed and sealed some others. I watched and to my dismay I now had patches on top of patches and still not done right. They came out a third time and I pointed to places, that now were different levels and multiple patches where one patch would have taken care of the different area's. The sealer was put down hap hazardly . He even told me that maybe he should have gotten out of his truck to oversea his workers. I took photos before, during and after and sent them to the Pompano rep. He agreed it looked terrible and they would not be using that contractor again?! I asked how does that rectify such a horrible job. He referred me back to the head office in Ohio. They assured me that it would be taken care of and to call Pompano back. They said they would get someone out immediately. No one showed so I called they said they would give me a number of someone who could fix it... at my expense. I tried calling the Ohio office and after numerous messages left they have not returned my calls. I even said I would rather just have the job done right as I would rather not start writing reviews and getting in touch with Help Me Howard. Still no returned messages. At this point the driveway looks almost as bad as when it was started and they obviously have no intention on honoring their professional service paragraph in their own brochure. I know it is not a lot of money involved, but the first thing that is seen when you pull up to my home is a large circular driveway that now has patches on patches, cracks that weren't sealed and sealer that was not even put down in the way the brochure and the rep explained to me.
