Just Termites & Pest Control Services Inc

We had been bothered for several years by birds making nests in our awning. The worst part was the poop the leave all over the deck. We had used our own remedies, suggestions over the phone and several pest control companies, etc. etc. Nothing worked and nobody ever followed through. Then I randomly called Just Termites Pest and Termite Control. they assured me that they could take care of my problem and they did. They spent many hours neatly attaching metal screening to the entire area and the problem no longer exists. I was amazed at how neat and finished looking it was after, not to mention the roaches were gone. Very Happy!!

Whenever I notice termites they have someone available to check to see if there are termites but never have someone available to actually treat the termites for weeks. I don't need someone to check if there are termites when I know what they look like. I need someone to treat them. I have had a contract with them for three years and have never had punctual service. When myself or my husband have asked to speak to a manager no one ever returns our call. When they do send someone out they never call ahead of time so there have been several times where they have come and gone without even a phone call. If I wasn't renting my home right now and if I lived closer I would find another company immediately!

Just termites was hired to treat apartment complex for termites.  Treatment was approximately $3500 and included a guarantee for 1 year.  The treatment was ineffective.  They came back on numerous occasions for additional treatments.  The technicians became increasingly surly and lazy as their failures mounted.  Finally, they refused to go in attic where termites were evidenced.  After protest, they left the scene and offered to return our service plan payment--they never did. . .A horrible company!

Lesson learned! Check Angie's list before going with a company!! They do not have a good record on Angie's list and I wish I had checked here first.
The pest inspector who did the pre-purchase inspection of my home seemed very thorough and knowledgeable, informed me that there was an upstairs and attic silverfish infestation that was the worst he had seen, some ants & roaches but otherwise the house was in good shape as far as pests. He left information and cost for standard initial treatment ($125) and Standard service for an annual fee ($363 additional) and a 5% discount for payment in full up front. Based on his professionalism and apparent knowledge, I went with this company for pest treatment.  I paid the full amount upfront but was not given the stated 5% discount. 
On 10/25/2012 a technician came to do the initial treatment. I was not home and am conveying what was told to me by the person who was there to let him in. He was gruff and less than polite. She mentioned that I wanted to be sure that the silverfish infestation be heavily treated in the attic to which he replied that he would not go in the attic, he would just stand at the opening and throw the chemical as far as he could. This is indeed how he treated the attic. She mentioned that we wanted to be sure that the indoor chemical used also treated for fleas as the previous owners had a cat, I have a dog, and I had bites on my feet and ankles when I was on the rugs. Initially he told her there was no reason to treat for fleas and he did not have anything to treat them. Later he told her that what he was treating with would treat everything.
 
After this less than pleasant experience I continued to see silverfish in both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, I continued to get bites on my feet and ankles and the dog continued to scratch more than before I moved in. I called the office and requested a re-treatment of the silverfish and that a different technician come who would be physically able to go up in the attic to treat heavily for the silverfish. I was assured that a different technician would be sent and arranged it for the same week.
On arriving home 11/07/2012 I found that a different technician was not sent, rather the same technician was there. I experienced for myself his gruffness and, additionally, he denigrated the knowledge of the inspector, indicated that treating for silverfish was a waste of time, and he did not know why we bothered, as they did not hurt anything if we just ignored them. He, again, did not go into the attic but just stood at the top of the ladder and threw the chemical as far as he could. I was so disappointed with the main office for not abiding by my request for a different technician and so appalled by his attitude that I did not even mention the fleas.
 
I continued to see silverfish on both floors and continue to have new bites on my feet and ankles. I put my dog on a second flea medicine. I wrote a letter to let them know I was very disappointed in their service as well as office and technician performance, attitude and respect for homeowner concerns. I did not feel that the initial treatment was completed adequately or effectively. I asked to cancel the annual contract and asked to be refunded.
Meanwhile, I went to Lowes and bought home treatment chemicals and sprayed everywhere inside and out.
It took numerous calls to get any response to my letter, meanwhile the technician continued to call regularly to set up more treatments (the office told me he should not have been as my contract was not active after I sent the letter.) Finally, they charged me an $80 cancelation fee and refunded $283. Between the lack of an initial 5% discount, the inadequate initial treatment they charged me in full and the cancelation fee they come across as very money hungry, in addition to being very insensitive to the consumer.
Definitely not a company I would ever use again nor recommend.

I'm very please with my first two services.  They did an initial service and then did a follow-up a week later (no cost).  I have service every other month, so they aren't scheduled to be back until Feb., but will come back if needed at no extra cost to me. 
The manager that I originally dealt with was very professional as was the tech that did the service.

The guy was on time but he went quickly through our 3000 sq ft home. I was curious how he finished so quickly but I gave him a chance. The liquid was sprayed everywhere and the bugs did not  die. We still had pests, so I called to have another application done. After the second application, the bugs (ants, spiders, and roaches) were still present. I canceled the services and I used an at home application of bug spray and the bugs died almost immediately. I would not recommend this company to anyone. When I called to complain I was told that the worker who had been to our home no longer worked for them but I am not sure why that was an excuse. I paid for a service that was faulty and they should have fixed their previous workers mistake. To top everything off, I received a cancellation fee in the mail 5 months after I canceled the service. I paid the fee just so I did not have to deal with this company anymore! 

They do a good job, they are timely, they are professional and they will come back if you get any reinfestation in between visits.

They were just awful! I paid them in advance for a 12 month contract. They were supposed to show every month for that amount of money. They did not show up! I had to chase them down every 6 or 7 weeks. I ended up getting around 6 or 7 visits instead of the 12 I paid for. Even the girls in the office don't ever know where anyone is. The owner is very nice, but he never returns phone calls and he never does what he says he is going to do.

They were supposed to be charging me 23.00 a month. Every time they come it is someone new. They never know what the last person did. If I call regarding a billing question they can never answer my questions. I have been billed twice for one month of service and they can't tell me why. The company communicates poorly. The office has no idea what the field technicians are doing. They usually leave a note on the door if I'm not home, but sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. I don't know if they have been here.
