At the time it seemed like all the work was done correctly. They also suggested that I replace valve cover gasket and wiper blades which I declined. Today I was checking the oil level which I have been doing on my own for several years. I found that the oil dipstick was missing I then found that part of the dipstick was pushed into the tube and was impossible to take out because it was sealed with some sort of plaster. I only notice it until today because I was checking the oil level. The last time I checked oil level there was nothing wrong with the dipstick. The one time I take it to John Herbecks Auto Repair is when the problem occurred. Once again I check oil level periodically
Your response is as expected. Eventually I was able to retrieve the oil dipstick and clear all the junk that was put in there thanks to instructions from a you tube video on how to do it. This is the only time I have ever had this problem and it occurred after taking it to your shop. I am not asking for compensation but I do believe that it was done on purpose by one of your mechanics. I would not and will not recommend your shop to anyone I know and I definitely will not be returning to your shop for any service.

Unfortunately we must have recorded the wrong number as it shows that has been disconnected. We are at loss to understand what happened to your oil dipstick. We spoke with the mechanic that handled your car and he could not remember touching the dipstick. In any case we wish to invite you at your convenience to our garage at any time we are open ( Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5.30 p.m and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm) To replace your dipstick at our cost and make sure that everything is ok. Speaking of the work done to my vehicle: I had this annoying sound that resonated fairly loudly in the cabin when I reached speeds of 50 mph or faster and it didn't feel safe while driving. It turned out that my right front wheel bearing needed to be replaced along with the axle--that's where the vibration was coming from that was causing all the noise. After the repair was performed, the noise level dropped about 90% inside the cabin; the other front wheel is starting to make a little noise but does not need to be repaired just yet and that's where the remaining noise is coming from. My mechanic, Mike, did an excellent job with the repair and spent some time test driving my car to check the quality of his work. Now I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that my car is totally safe to drive! I would definitely recommend this repair shop to a friend. Thanks Drew and Mike for excellent work.
