Generally things went well while we were living in the home and promptly paid all rent. The problem came when we vacated the home to relocate for my husband's job. We were quite frank and told her we would not be able to clean the house because of our travel schedule and that we expected to pay for a cleaning service out of the deposit. What we did not expect is paying for new carpeting in the 2nd bedroom. The carpet was not perfect when we moved in - her daughter, Briana, had spilled nail polish. When we moved the nightstand, the carpet was wet. We immediately called Ms. Totfalusi and reached her at the movies with her daughter. She said not to worry about it - that leaks happen in stucco. She withheld $980 for new carpet for a bedroom. Do the math - that is between $50 and $70 a sq yd. We repeatedly asked for a breakdown of the bill but she has refused. She cheated us because we were now out of state and could not file suit against her and her conspirator.
Description of Work: We rented Ms. Totfalusi's personal home at in the Westwood subdivision in Tamarac. $1600/ month for 14 months.

MANY OF YOU MAY HAVE SEEN THAT I HAVE A GRADE "F" ON ANGIES LIST, PLEASE ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN. I HAD MY HOME RENTED A FEW YEARS AGO TO A COUPLE AND THEIR DOG, IT WAS A YEAR'S LEASE. AT THE END OF THE LEASE I DID MY WALK THRU OF THE HOME AND WAS VERY UPSET AT THE UP KEEP OF THE HOME, MY TOLIET SEAT WAS CRACKED IN HALF, I HAD STAINS ON MY CARPETS, DOG ODOR THAT WAS OVERWHELMING, THE A/C FILTER HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED IN THE YEAR THEY RENTED THE HOME (I PURCHASED A YEAR SUPPLY AND LEFT IT WITH THE TENANTS WHEN THEY MOVED IN), IT TOOK TO CLEANING LADIES 6 HOURS TO GET THE HOME CLEANED, IT IS ONLY A 2 BEDROOM HOME. I HAD TO HAVE THE CARPETS REPLACED AND THE FLOORS (CEMENT UNDER THE CARPET) CLEANED. THE TENANTS DID NOT GET THEIR FULL DEPOSIT BACK FROM ME AND ARE UPSET AT THAT FACT SO THEY RATED ME AS A REALTOR AND RATED ME AS A "F". MY BUSINESS IS NEARLY 90% REFERRALS, I'VE BEEN A REALTOR FOR 10 YEARS AND HAVE A REPUTATION THAT I AM VERY PROUD OF. I CAN PUT YOU IN CONTACT WITH MY PAST AND CURRENT CLIENTS IF YOU NEED REFERENCES.
