HALF PINT MOVING

I have worked with many different businesses in my life and this was by far my husband and I's worse experience ever. ​we originally went with Frankie's company because he came off as a family man who owned a small business, cared about his customers and gave us an upfront price for everything. This was not at all the case come moving day. He stated he would be at our house to move us at 6:30AM. So my husband and I were up earlier then that to get ready for him. He did nor show up or answer my husband's calls and text. I called from my phone (a number he did not recognize) and he answered immediately. When I asked what was going on, he told me that he would be there and would tell us then. He did not arrive until 3 hours later without a truck. He informed us that his last booking was offering $1000 a day to keep his stuff on the truck so he decided to get another truck. Apparently the other truck was stolen so they spent three hours looking for a cheap rental. I was understanding as no one can forsee a stolen truck, but then his earners came with a small truck half the size of what we were originally promised. When we told him we did not think the truck would fit everything, he assured us it would. Of course it did not. He also left and was not present for the delivery like he told us he would be. Now we had to drive up with a 4th of our belongings left behind. When I called him and told him that we did not want to pay in full when they did not complete his part especially since we need the place emptied by the end of the weekend for the final walk through he promised he would put in writing to pick it up and bring it to us this weekend. So I let it slide and paid them most of the money with a small hold until they delivered it over the weekend. Of course the weekend came and while he did pick it up from the house, he through my stuff haphazardly into a box and charged us another $200 for "packing thing" that we would have done if we got to do it all in one day. When I asked him what time he would be at our new location, he told me he only promised to pick up our stuff and not deliver it by the weekend. Over the next few days he kept telling me it would be delivered and then stating he was unable too. Every time I asked, he would either ignore me or say he was "working on it" but did not ever give me a sold date or time. This went on for 3 weeks! When I told him I would be getting a lawyer involved if I did not hear a solid plan in a few days, he said i threatened him and then proceeded to threatened me by putting all my stuff in storage and making me pick it up. I told him that this was not a treat, but fact and that he was only further breaking the contract we did not complete but paid for. He continued to give me the same answers even after I had a lawyer call him and he said he would not deliver it himself because he did not want to lose money even though this was his fault to begin with. It was not until he was served with a letter from the lawyer that he finally did deliver our stuff and we still paid the $600 even though he did not deserve it. We just really wanted our stuff. They were also so rushed to leave that they were just throwing our packages in the garage wven though they say fragile. They broke quite a few of our things including glassware and our fire place tv stand. I would never want someone to experience this stress that we experienced. We are also missing things and when we reached out to him, he ignored us. DO NOT US THEM!!! It is not worth the stress, unprofessionalism, unorganization and disrespect that you will experience. His staff were not bad though. Just Frankie, who owns the business.

Move itself went ok. Owner arrived on time with 2 movers. No damage to furniture or the house which is commendable. A few days after the move we realized that the glass for the coffee table was missing. Contacted the owner who confirmed that yes he has it in the truck still. Asked him to deliver the glass when he comes in the area and he said he'll check his schedule and maybe next week. It's been almost 2 months and we are still waiting. Once, he suggested I drive up north to meet him half way, then said he can bring it to my work which is closer to him, then he didn't show up anyway and did not return my phone calls or text. I've dealt with a national moving company before. I'd say in comparison the other company is much more professional.
The glass isn't worth much money at all but the handling of the matter shows a lack of interest in building the company's reputation or to attract repeat customers. You can try your luck but personally I find it really hard to recommend this company to a friend.

We have actually used this company twice in the past 10 days. The first time was when they moved us from our condo to our new house. They arrived exactly at the time agreed and moved with accuracy and professionalism to load our goods onto their truck. Delivery was equally helpful and professional.
We used them 10 days later to unload a truckload of furniture that we had brought down from our other home in the north. Again they were punctual to the minute and were totally expert in helping us place the furniture and they put together any pieces that needed assembly. Missing screws? no problem as they carried spares.
And the pricing was excellent as well. Less than half of the number quoted by another local company whose trucks one sees everywhere.
One of the very nice things about this company is that the owner is totally hands on. He comes to do the estimate and he comes with his crew to do the move. And his assessments are flat fees, not sliding scales.
Great company to work with.

They are excellent. They are easy to get along with. They give you the price and that's it, they don't fool around. I just like them in general. If I ever move again, I would use their service.
