Hired Florida Leak Locators who came out to my house spent an hour found one leak in the pool. Drained the pool about 3 feet to get to the vacuum Line which need to be repaired. They came back 3 days later to fix it. In the mean time the pool still went down about 8 inches. After fixing the vacuum line I told the repair person who asked how I know this I said I marked it. Than he searched the pool and found another leak in the main drain which he said he fixed. What they stop at first leak found maybe there are 3 or 4? The next day I called Florida leak Locators and said water level still going down. Owner said fill the pool and they would be out in a week, great I have to wait a week after I paid $330 to find leak than $250 to permanently fix the leak. But he said they were too busy. First fix is temporary and may or may not work permanently. After this Called LEAK AND SUBSURFACE LOCATORS 954-290-5177 the owner came out and pressurized the whole pool except the Lion head spouts which he would have to remove, could not find the leak but did not charge me, moved some values and said lets wait. The next day, Christmas Eve he came back out to find the leak after I said it went down overnight. He found the leak at the main drain which he assumed was fixed because he saw the repair, ya he learned. After he fixed it he said I'll send bill if it holds if not I'll be back after Christmas. It held he got paid. I did get my money back from Florida Leak Locators because they have a 100% satisfaction which I was not. First inspect the whole pool not stop at first leak Second don't make customers wait in between appointments I was losing 8 inches a day and finally when you fix it do it right.

They did an excellent job. It was a tough set of leaks to take care of and they were willing to handle it. They had to take a chance on trying something to stop the leak. Scheduling an appointment was excellent. They were able to come out right away.

My leaks needed permananet repair and were many. Jeff scheduled the job, drained the pool, and repaired all grout lines on pool step tiles, swimout tiles, and repaired around all pool jets and vacuum line. Matched the blue diamond brite and it looks great. Highly recommend this company for your leaks. Do recommend that if you do find many leaks to get them fixed permanently because he his right in saying that temporary leak repair is temporary (2-3 year life span)

.My pool was losing about 1 to 2 inches of water a day. After trying unsuccessfully for a number of weeks to find the leak on my own I decided to seek professional help.

I called the company and they explained all the costs and what they would do. If the leak is in the pool they will fix it with epoxy putty.

If it is in the pipes then they would provide an estimate to fix it. Also $100 of the $325 would apply to the cost to fix a leak in the pipe or elsewhere. Also they give you a 5 week warranty on the work. The pool technician showed up on time and was able to locate the leak in under 10 minutes. In my case the leak turned out to be in the skimmer and was repaired with epoxy putty. It's been 3 weeks now and no leaks.

They are on Angie's List. They did a good job. They came out and gave an estimate, and then they came out and finished it in one day, and I haven't had any leak at all since then.

Everything went well with this. I called and spoke with Jeff initially. He asked me a few questions and then gave me the price. I asked some additional questions about guaranteeing the work, any additional costs, and what type of report do I get. He said they would check everything and provide me with a report. Any repairs that could be done with epoxy are included in the cost, but anything outside of that would be additional. They will call you and get approval prior to doing anything above the initial cost though. The appointment was scheduled and I did receive a confirmation call the day before. They let me know I needed to fill the pool to the normal level and that the pool needs to be clean. They came when I was at work and did the job. When I returned home I found the report in my mailbox and saw that they had found two leaks in the pool and repaired them with epoxy. I inspected the pool and did find the areas where the epoxy was applied. I had a few follow up questions so I called the next morning and Jeff quickly returned my call. He answered all my questions and I felt very happy with the work. I was thankful that there were no leaks in the pipes that would cost a lot more. I gave them a B on price only because I don't think this type of service should cost this much, however, their price is better than other companies I called. I monitored the pool a few days before writing this review and it seems that the leaks have stopped and now it's just evaporation loss. I had been losing about 1/2and quot; a day. I'm very happy with the service itself and the customer service was excellent. My only feedback would be to create a more comprehensive report to show that everything was checked rather than just writing what leaks were found. Mainly because this service can be provided when the owner is not home and you want to be sure they checked everything.

I called this company on a referral from Pinch a Penny and from looking them up on Angie's List.
To start, when I called about leak detection, they up charged me because of my pool size. They indicated they would do leak detection and repair for $375.00. My pool had been losing about 1.5 inches of water a day.
Their tech, Yuri, arrived on time. Their office called while he was onsite, before he started, and asked for my credit card number. Yuri then took out his leak detection microphone, walked around the pool for 10 minutes ( I timed him ), told me I had a leak in a pipe and he could not fix it. They charged me the full $375 and did not repair anything. He was there and gone in less than 30 minutes.
This was not what I expected nor negotiated.
They told me they would call me back on Monday with a repair estimate, and never did. A week later I received a $375 charge on my AMEX. I called three days later regarding the repair and the full charge amount without fixing anything and they had to call me back. To replace a cracked pipe under my pool deck they indicated would normally cost $1025 , but in my case they would and quot;onlyand quot; charge $925.00. They did not offer us any credit on the $375 charge. I never signed a work order agreeing to the amount. We are disputing their charge with AMEX.
This company is expensive, their sales tactics are not forthright, they are not responsive, and I would not use them again, nor recommend them to anyone. In my opinion a service call like this should have been no more than $150.00. Buyer beware.

The tech was very nice, and he did what he was supposed to do. However, they failed to fix the problem. When I told them that they'd failed to fix the leak, they sent out another person out who didn't do much. They told me that I'd need the entire pool regrouted. They were unable to do the job despite their ads stating that they would go to great lengths to solve problems. What they wanted to do was have me spend many thousands of dollars to regrout the pool and I wasn't wanting to accept that solution. They don't even regrout pools, so I asked for a referral. They had problems giving me a referral and when they did give me a company's name, that company said that regrouting the pool may not even fix the leak. At that point, I ended up calling another company who found and fixed my leak for $325.

This was the first time we have hired them and we found them on Angie's List. They were very reasonable and the cost included everything. They are a small company and the owner came out to complete the work. They were prompt and completed the job. It as one one of the best experiences I have ever had and I am very pleased with them.

The pool for the home I recently purchased had a leak that was losing about an inch of water per day.
I contacted Florida Leak Locators at the recommendation of the company that currently services my pool.
The process from scheduling to completion was a breeze. They were able to find the leak in the light fixture that had been installed by the previous owner. The repair, since it was a small problem, was included in the price I paid.
They asked that I monitor the water levels and if there's still a problem, they would come out and recheck at no additional cost.
So far, so good!

Technician arrived as scheduled and performed sonic survey to pinpoint the cause of pool water loss.
We received a report, both written and verbal of the findings as well as an estimate to perform the repair.
We will check around to validate the repair range and will probably have this company perform the repair.

After experiencing a daily leak in our in-ground residential pool of over 3/4and quot; per day and researching Angie's List for A-rated Leak Repair companies, I called Florida Leak Locators. I spoke to Jeff, described the situation and agreed to the $260 charge to have the leak found and repaired. Once the pool was refilled to its normal level, the repair person (John) arrived and determined that the leak was in the pool light housing. After donning his wet suit, John removed the light fixture and began repairing the leak. He then declared the leak fixed and so I paid him as agreed.

Over the following few days I saw that the pool was still leaking over 3/4and quot; per day and so I called and advised Jeff. John returned the following day and suggested that the leak was and quot;outside the pool itselfand quot;, most likely the electrical conduit and that would necessitate some excavation work. He said that he would have Jeff call me with their next step. When I next spoke to Jeff I was told the cost would be another $800. At this point I was a little apprehensive and so I called another pool repair company for a second opinion.

At a cost of another $250, (Gene) the owner of the 2nd company came, after I had again refilled the pool to its normal level. Donning his wet suit he removed the light's housing and after his inspection told me that the previous work was not up to his standard.and that he saw no evidence that there was a need for any excavation work. Gene repaired the leak, was paid and departed. Now, several days after the 2nd repair visit, I've been carefully monitoring the water level and there is no longer a leak.

As far as Florida Leak Locators is concerned, I did have a follow up conversation with Jeff, a few days later, after the 2nd repair and we did review what had happened. To his credit, Jeff apologized for my disappointment and wo days later I received a check for the full amount along with a hand-written note of apology. Where their technical work might have disappointed me, I definitely appreciated their integrity and Jeff's professionalism.

I called them on July 4th, expecting to just leave a message and hear back later in the week. They actually called me back in the afternoon on July 4th, he explained how the process would work and scheduled me for the following Monday. Monday the repairman called me when he was 30 minutes out from our house. He showed up on time. He explained in detail what he was going to do and everything he was going to check to find the leak or leaks, including the underground plumbing. He found two leaks, one in the skimmer and one in the light, he showed me the leaks and explained in detail what he could do to fix them. Luckily the fix was covered as part of the visit. He was very professional and did a great job. Our pool is now leak free. I would use them again if needed and would definitely recommend them.
