FLOOR & DECOR

The tiles are wonderful and of good quality. The problem is the store did not have enough tiles of the same lot number so, I paid $150 for Floor and Decor to deliver 39 boxes of tile to my home from another store. The delivery never showed up on the scheduled date. The next day they had a different company deliver the tiles. 37 boxes of good tiles and 2 boxes of unusable broken tiles! The store did nothing to help me find replacement tiles. They offered me a refund on the 2 boxes. There is so much more that went wrong while trying to resolve this issue but, the big take away is that Floor and Decor has a good product at good prices. If you see something there you can buy it no problem. However, anything that they deliver or special order is a complete disaster that you will never be happy with. I will never order anything again from them that I do not pick up myself. There delivery and service are just horrific!

The tile was ordered from the Pompano Beach location. I was told by the sales individual that the Pompano Beach location did not have sufficient square footage but Boynton Beach did and it would be transferred from Boynton to Pompano Beach for me and subsequently delivered by an outside delivery service which they had recommended at an added cost of $150.00. The boxed tile arrived on pallets and was 20% installed by my installer. I arrived home from work and saw the delivered/installed tile for the first time and it differed significantly in shade from what I had selected at the Pompano Beach location. Some of the grade 4 tiles were warped as well according to my installer. In other words, it was the same pattern but a totally different shade of the tile I had selected. I instructed my installer to tear it out. I negotiated with the store manager who gave me credit for the incorrect tile but no credit for my installation and tear out costs, or for delivery of wrong tile or inset material. Following tear out, my house is a disastrous dust bowl from the tile removal. It has been clogging my air conditioning system and sickening my pets.

The customer service was terrible.  They never anticipated problems that thye should have and didn't give us all the information we needed for the job.  They couldn't answer questions and we had a $60 worth of floor stripping we didn't need.  We tried to get a store credit  or reufnd for that and they said no.

Went to buy extra tile, they no longer had in stock, they checked other store, said they have it but charged $25 just to transfer to another store. I am disgusted with them.

I purchased material, no labor involved

The problem began when the installers first came out. They were suppose to remove the old tile floor first before installing the new floor. They started installing without doing so. We had to stop them and demand that they remove the tile floor as promised. They gave us a hard time and finally agreed to do so after we called their supervisor. While removing the old tile, we noticed that they did such a haphazard job that there were holes in the concrete making the floor uneven. They refused to level it. We had to stop the work and call their supervisor again who finally agreed to level it. To make matters worse, after the job was done, the sub-contractor's sub-contractor who installed my floor tried to get me to pay them instead of the company. When I refused to do so because my contract was not with the sub-contractor, they began harrassing me with threatening phone calls. This only stopped when I informed the company of what was going on. Essentially, that sub-contractor was trying to swindle me into paying twice: to them and also the company. They are sneaky, devious and unprofessional. Bottomline is that shortly after the new hardwood flooring was installed, the floor began to buckle and come up. I was horrified, but not surprised given the level of service we got from the sub-contractor. I called the company to tell them about the problem. After various unreturned calls, I made a personal store visit and demanded to see the manager. They avoided me for weeks until they finally agreed to send out an inspector who eventually determined that the floor is buckling and cupping because Chris Burke's installers did not check the moisture content before installing the flooring. It also appears that the glue was put on too thick therefore not allowing it to dry and they did not leave enough perimeter around the edge. Even though the report was clear, Floor & Decor would not force the installer Chirs Burke, Inc to pay. Floor & Decor claims to have a warrantly on the installation and a guarantee. They do not live up to their promises and deal with very unprofessional sub-contractors. I am now left to replace my floors all together and am out the $4,525 I paid for the job.

Tile was there as promised. They helped me load it into the van, and were very polite and helpful.

Excellent. Great service and knowledge in the store to purchase product. Installation service called promptly, arrived when they said they would, and completed the work as specified. In addition they were extremely professional courteous and worked very clean leaving no mess after completion.

Product was in stock, and could be taken the same day.

They sent out an inspector who determined that the floor is buckling and cupping and he is blaming the installer for not checking the moisture content before installing the flooring and the glue was put on too thick therefore not allowing it to dry. They also state that the installer did not leave a big enough perimeter around the edge. They claim no responsibility.
