Don Meyler Inspections Inc

After having all of my windows, doors and overhead garage door replaced with impact resistant, code compliant products, I needed a new wind mitigation inspection. I did my due diligence in researching inspection companies and along with a recommendation of my insurance agent, choose Don Meyler Inspections (DMI). They were very quick in providing me with a quote and within a week the inspection was scheduled, performed and I had the report to provide my insurance company. I had the building permits for everything ready for the inspection as well as online data for the roof permit completed before I owned the house. The inspection was relatively quick and the inspector was very professional and courteous. My insurance company accepted his report without question and significantly reduced my premiums. Overall my experience with DMI was excellent and I’d recommend this company to anyone in the need of their services.

The inspector was on time and did the work. 
However, he did note one issue on the report that was due to permitted work being done on property.
What I am really upset about is that although I was home and talked to him, he did not mention anything about this (very minor) deficiency or would have given me the chance to rectify. He was aware of the work being done to the house and at the VERY least should have let me know that this is going to impact the report.
When I contacted the company they were unwilling to right the wrong and only offered for the to come back and reinspect for even more money.

After writing the above review and threatening them of posting bad reviews everywhere they caved and agreed grudgingly to do a free reinspection.

Inspection was performed in timely and professional manner. Report was emailed promptly to the Insurance Company and me.
 I do recommend Don Meyler Inspections Inc. and would use them again.

The inspector, Julio Rubi, showed up on time, did the inspection on our hurricane shutters, and recommended that we update them to meet the current code which would save us money on our windstorm insurance. He was polite and professional and told us what to inquire about when getting estimates for new shutters. The report was faxed and emailed to me the next day. I highly recommend Don Meyler Inspections.

The inspector arrived promptly at 9 a.m. on August 11th to perform the inspection. He inspected in detail all the items in a 4-point inspection (A/C Heating, Roof, Plumbing, Electrical) and my impact windows and doors for the wind mitigation report. After he completed the inspection, he explained to me that if I replaced my carport door (which has non-impact glass in it) or purchased a shutter system for the door I could get a "Class A" on the wind mitigation report. The 4-point inspection report was e-mailed to both me and my homeowners insurance agent on August 12th.
