It took 2 trips. Several phone calls. They quoted me $200 and charged me $566. Almost triple the quote. They left a mess behind them- screws and wires left on the floor. Seemed to be upset that I asked them to use boot covers on the second trip since the first one they made a mess. Would never use again.

"As a local small business, we were saddened to receive [Member Name Removed]’s review, especially as we had performed previous work for her, namely installing garage lights, and she was extremely happy with the service provided. We work hard to provide the best service we can including daily site clean ups and accommodating customer requests such as wearing boot covers. As explained at the time, to install the custom light fixture [Member Name Removed] purchased, the installation process required special low voltage dimming (we even offered for [Member Name Removed] to provide the dimmer in an effort to save her money) and additional electrical wiring and parts that was unusual for a residential light fixture and not in our original estimate. Even though [Member Name Removed] agreed to this price increase and allowed us to proceed with the work, she had a change of heart after the installation was complete and gave us a negative review. [Member Name Removed] has asked us not to contact her further. We wish her all the best."

Initial appointment was for next day, however, tech was in area and called to see if we wanted to have service done today, which was convenient for us. Showed up within an hour, and completed everything timely and at a lower cost than anticipated. Great tech and service.

Lance and the team retrofitted our landscape/building lighting to LEDs. We had faulty horizontal metal halide lamps in our 25 ft.-high fixtures which were fitted with vertical corn-cob LED's. It was not an easy task, as scaffolding needed to be brought in. Our ground par lamps were also fitted with LED pars. The fluorescent fixtures for our pool lighting were all retrofitted to accommodate LED medium base lamps. Everything went seamlessly, the team was professional, and the building looks so nice that people compliment on it often. I would highly recommend Burley Electric for all your electrical needs.

The company went out of their way to schedule a job same day. I called late on a Wednesday afternoon and they were onsite within an hour. Electrician arrived promptly and was very professional. This was a small job to install a new garage door opener outlet in garage ceiling. The wires were already in ceiling and they had to be pulled a short distance to the newly installed outlet. I was happy with the job and service but thought the price was a little high for the amount of time spent. However, in their defense, this was the prior telephone quoted price with the Angie's List discount. I will use them again when the need arises.

Professional and punctual. I needed to replace landscape lights and the electrician offered to go to home depot and purchase everything needed which helped out greatly. Was pricier than I thought but it was worth it.

The first couple of visits went fine, no complaints. The last visit I wanted everything to be completed in one day so the technician suggested asking Lance for an extra assistant. I did and they both came over as scheduled. Here's all the things that went wrong:
Technician didn't bring Timers for job - I had to run to Home Depot... later on I was told that that's not their job - would have been nice that someone informed me BEFORE the job started as I'm used to techs bringing their own supplies
Job didn't get completed in one day as promised
Extra hole punched into the ceiling because assistant didn't know what he was doing
Major power surge and 2 new Timers that were installed didn't last 10 hours and Now backyard light not working (there was nothing wrong with it but it's right behind where the timers were installed). Also 2 expensive surge protectors for computers/stereo burned out with the surge.
When I told Lance the owner about these things he wanted me to pay a 2nd time to do the job over! I already had to purchase new Timers and New surge protectors and he's asking me to pay for the same job Twice?
Ever since I told him about the problems Lance plays games like not answering a simple question in an email or feigning emailing the wrong person or not showing up for an appointment in hopes that I will just go away... I've been trying to get this resolved for a couple of months now and my patience has grown thin. I gave him more opportunities to correct this than I'm sure most people would. He doesn't care, he'd rather play games and get NEW business instead of taking care of the customers he has. Thumbs down on Burley Electric.

The provider, along with his electrician, performed the work in a professional manner. They were polite and responsive to any need that arose, and offered advice concerning the electrical maintenance of the house. I would definitely request their services in the future, and also recommend them to my neighbors on 12th Street. Mr. Burley and his electrician were respectful, they took the time to explain the job, and were willing to help in any way to satisfy the owner.

Last year I called Burley Electric to come out because they are a company I trust. The owner has a highly degree of integrity and professionalism that is hard to find nowadays. In 2013, their response was quick and the work performed was of the highest quality.
In 2005, right after Hurricane WIlma struck and ravaged my home, the electrical circuitry in my home was energized. This was due to a problem with the Florida Power and Light Company having a large cable break and the fact that Hurricane Wilma ripped the entire electrical meter and box from my home. We didn't realize this until we were able to start taking showers again and were shocked by the water faucets and pipes. The Burley Electric Company immediately came to our aid and put us first in line as an emergency to handle right after the hurricane passed and they were able to get through. At that time, traffic lights were out, streets were covered with debris and the area was in chaos. After Burley Electric left my house whole again, it unfortunately took another two weeks for FPL to repair their lines. 30 days without electricity was not fun. I hate camping!

I first contacted Burley Electric Company back in 2005 when Hurricane Wilma devastated my home and electrical meter box. When the storm destroyed the electrical meter box, it caused my home to become electrified. We could not take showers since the water pipes became electrified and caused shocks. We were out of power to our home for 30 days! We had a huge tree down in my backyard which prevented anyone from entering the yard. Lance, the owner of Burley Electric Company, was inundated with work due to the storm. However, when he heard of our dilemna, he responded to my home, replaced the meter box and assisted in getting Florida Power and Light to run thick cables to the box to provide safe electricity to my home. It took Florida Power and Light close to 3-4 weeks before they could run the cables and later remove them after correcting a severe problem which caused the problems to my home to begin with. Burley Electric is the most trusted electric company you can call for all your electrical needs. I will forever be grateful to both Nate and Lance for all the work they have done to my home. I will be calling them again to replace the entire circuit breaker panel to my home since my home was built over 40 years ago. All the breakers are outdated as well as the aluminum wiring that comes into my home.
I have recommended this company to all of my friends. All my friends have told me of the great service that they received also.
