Boats
The Service department (Joe Pasuit the Service Manager) did a exemplary job in the rebuilt of my 2003 Mercruiser 31ss Sonic. I blew the engine in July 2013 and it was I who kept delaying them to get the work started due to budget constraints. Once I saved enough money to more than 80% they started in May 2014 and just wrapped up today (7/2/14). This was not an easy job and my interfering and delaying them did not help.

Boats
Boathouse MC aka Hideaway Marina broke all records for bad service. In fact, the things they did to me border on criminal behavior. I used to keep my boat in their marina as a monthly customer. When it came time to replace my engines I asked them for a quote to do the job (labor only). They told me $1,000 perhaps a bit more.
3 months later they gave me a boat that didn't work, and a $9000 bill. The mechanics there had no idea how to handle Volvo Penta i/o engines. They were lost! They took 3 months to finally be and quot;doneand quot;. Then I went to take the boat out, after they and quot;finishedand quot;. It was crossed wired. That is, I put the throttle in forward gear and the boat went in reverse! I smashed the rear of the boat, swim platform, and could have hurt my little boy who was riding with me.
There were no apologies just excuses and lies. Later I came to find out that the current business manager and the current service manager were working at this marina when the former owner was arrested and convicted of fraud for stealing customers deposits.
They charged for repairs that failed. They charged for repairs that were never done. They lied. They took 3 months to do the job, and the charged money multiple times the estimated amounts. They blamed Volvo Penta for and quot;incompatible parts.and quot; I had to hire certified Volvo Techs to fix the work their hackers had no idea how to do. In fact, they put my life and other's lives in danger by being negligent and dishonest.
I would never use them for anything ever again. I am in the process of bringing legal action against them.
