They are a scam.  After signing a contract to do a driveway and pool area, they cashed my $6500.00 check and I have never heard from them again. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!  PLEASE..PLEASE....PLEASE Read all other reviews on the web. They are thieves and con men.  The address and phone # is fake along with false advertising claims. *** POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY *** I will provide details
shortly, but in the interest of providing you with a quick
recommendation early in my review here it is, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
SHOULD YOU ENGAGE IN A BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP WITH BEDROCK BRICK &
BLOCK. Your money WILL get stolen, you will NOT receive a "quality
product", as one of their installers loved to tell me, and you
absolutely WILL be left aggravated. These people are the definition of
criminals and as such, expect to be lied to (pathologically) and stolen
from if you engage in any business transaction with them. If for some
completely illogical reason you may still be considering conducting
business with this company, ask yourself this, why are there only 1-star
reviews on here since September? Exactly. Now that we have that
critical piece out of the way, let me tell you about my story, which you
will find is not unlike the slew of negative reviews for this laughable
excuse of a company.
I signed a contract for a patio in early
September '13. It is now 11/08/13 and I have a destroyed backyard,
mounds of debris, dirt, and sand on my driveway and over $1500 LESS in
my bank account. Since my contract was signed, I have been lied to
countless times over two months. At one point, Nick, the supposed
co-owner, called me to apologize and guarantee my deposit back. Of
course, when I pushed to know exactly how and when, he fumbled his words
and said he would get the check "cut" the next day and deliver it to
me. That never happened. I came to learn that Nick is a liar of
pathological proportions. He does quite an excellent job of making you
FEEL like he is sincere. You will feel like you are dealing with a
stand-up guy, who really wants to do right by you. But alas, he is far
from it. All you end up with are his lies and an empty wallet.  So,
after ZERO returned calls, two weeks later I suddenly received a call
from Brian, the installer, who had NO idea about the refund promised to
me by Nick. Brian had previously introduced himself as the installer for
my project but also never came through when he said would. Each time he
would blame Nick for forcing him to go to alternate jobs after having
previously committed to others like mine. So when he called, he just
says he wants to get my job done right. At this stage, I hadn't heard
from Nick about my refund and Brian was "promising" me that he'd be at
my house that week with brick laid by the weekend, "guaranteed". I was
very straightforward and told him I had no reason to trust his word at
this stage as he had already lied to me with prior promises.  He said he
understood but this was definite this time. I figured I had nothing to
lose since I still didn't have any sign from Nick that he would keep his
word and refund my deposit. He actually showed up (late of course) and
put in about a half hour of "excavation work" before abruptly leaving.
All he did was drill nasty holes through a concrete entryway slab and
move around some grass and dirt.  When I called him back he gave his
go-to excuse that Nick needed him somewhere else. He then promised to be
at my house the next day to resume work and still have my job completed
by the weekend. None of that ever happened and of course I got the
standard slew of excuses from him. He ultimately came one more time to,
again, have my patio fully prepped and ready for brick the following
day. Once again, he manually shoveled some grass out, only this time, he
left a large mound of grass/dirt right on my driveway and a load of
sand as well. Note that throughout this entire time the brick pavers had
not been delivered. My contract and discussions with the salesman had
made clear that work would not even begin until materials were
delivered. Every time I asked Brian about this he didn't seem to have a
clear response. After one more weekend of waiting, he was supposedly en
route to my house to finish the prep work. When we spoke, he actually
asked me to contact Gem Pavers to order my pavers and PAY for my bricks
IN FULL! Essentially, this company was asking me to pay in full for my
project WITHOUT HAVING A SINGLE THING TO SHOW FOR IT. I had it. I told
him I was not comfortable with that and he agreed that it was
unreasonable but he wouldn't pay for the bricks out of his own pocket.
HA! We agreed that he would finish his prep work that day and take it
one step at a time. If I saw the prep work was done well, we would look
at ordering all the bricks. He said he was around the corner from my
house and would complete it all that day. Lies again and that was the
last I heard from anyone at this shameful company. I'm not a wealthy
person. $1500 is a lot of money I worked hard for. I'm just an ordinary
family man trying to get a patio for his home and family.

After repeated lies as to when the project will start, the job finally began in July. They claimed that it was a permit issue but upon speaking with the building department, they just did not pay for the permit.  When the person finally came to remove my old driveway, they tore up my irrigation system and chipped the side of my house and the city owned sidewalk.  I had a torn up driveway for over 3 weeks before they began the grading work. When the paving stones were finally delivered, it took another week to start the job. 2 weeks later, when the paving stones were finally delivered, they were the wrong color.  The sales person came by and said that they made an error and we had to compromise on color at the last minute.  After repeated calls, They delivered the stones and began work.  They would lay a few rows then leave.  My neighbors saw the crew sleeping on my lawn and when approached, they woke up After repeated lies as to when the project will start, they finally began in July.
