Air Around the Clock A/C & Appliance Service

There was a freon leak identified under my house that the AATC tech said did not exist. Instead, they did a $1500 repair on a 3 year old Trane unit that had no leaks. The leak under the home persisted and had to be repaired anyway. The company accepted zero responsibility for misidentifying the leak and doing the wrong repair.

I’ve always used Air around the clock in my house and this time I called them for my office and of course I was out of the country. The Technichian treated my employees like trash and when I called them to talk to the technician before I was told how he treated my employees, he had an attitude over the phone when I asked him why to fix one leak would cost me over $900 and he responded by saying I don’t make the prices and I need to get paid. I called his office to let them know his attitude towards my office employees and the lady on the phone was defending the technician the entire time like she didn’t believe me. Save your money and time by calling someone else. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Not so good. After he left the unit went out. So called to have a tech come back to see what the problem was and to be honest he was the most rude nasty technician that I have ever dealt with in all of my years with Air Around The Clock. I was advised that the evaporator motor had gone bad and that when he left my home earlier in the day it was working. He felt that I was accusing him of breaking my equipment. I was not. I simply asked if this was a coincidence. I don’t even know how he came to the conclusion that the motor was bad other than there was no sound. Duh I knew that already. He did not place a meter on the compressor or the air handler. He did not advise me to turn off the air conditioner. I guess he was just upset that on a Friday night he had to do more work. In attempting to get my air up and running I was advised that these large companies like Air Around The Clock went and bought up all available units so that other companies could not provide timely service. IMO, that is the reason they employ incompetent nasty technicians. In essence, there is no other place to go! I am so over Air Around The Clock after many many years of dealing with them. I wouldn’t use them if they were the last company on the planet. Choose wisely!

High priced ($4495 vs $3350 from another company which I ended up using for same 2 ton 15 seer unit); High pressured (only offered the $95 service call toward a new unit if I agreed that day to a new unit contract with a $500 deposit); tried to sell me a 5 year warranty for $850; tried to sell me a replacement of interior copper freon lines for $1195 without even knowing for sure if that was a problem telling me if I didn't agree to this today it would then cost $2195; Horrible customer service : it took me over 2 months to get my deposit less service call refunded - was told over and over "paperwork was lost", "it has been processed", "it takes up to 10 business days for the bank to process your credit"; finally when I asked for proof of the credit being processed 8 days prior I got an email showing they just issued the credit in the past hour.

I called for service I was told by 2 different people that$95 service call will be applied toward any repair the ac need 1 lb of freon 30lb tank cost $100 The thef charged me $295 and refused to deduct $95 service call stay away from this company use some one else and save your self aggravation ps have recipe to prove work was done today. Contacted 2 other companies after I was told I got riped off

Horrible, I am living in mold and it took a month to tell me we will clean your carpet. Too late to clean. Pipe cracked due to their install and I came home to a flooded room and then they falsely make accusations to get out of fixing the problem. I am so angry. I had to rip my own carpet they refuse to give me their insurance

Watch out! This company, lies about service, lies about their contract and steals money from people. Terrible service even during a pandemic! I am giving a bad review based on five points. I called to have a thermostat replaced and.... 1.) ATC installed a $6000 dollar unit on 4/2018 and damaged my property. ATC did not tell my girl friend at the time that if she signs the contract the damage will not be covered. 2.) ATC performed two maintenance visits with the most recent one 5/2020 and four months later on 9/2020 "claims" I have a maintenance issue when I asked them to check the thermostat and diagnose the problem. 3.) When I called why the maintenance service is so expensive ($160) and why it's needed earlier than 6 months I was given attitude along with a I don't care mentality. The representative at the "call center/not a technician" was rattling off what they claimed to have done on 5/2020 and telling me I need maintenance again four months later. 4.) I had to check the house remotely through face time with my girl friend and we discovered that the thermostat still does not work. The A/C was running up the electric bill for near 24 hours before her and I could face time to see what was going on. 5.) There is no management system in place or they do not care as I never heard back from the company regarding charging me for services never performed. I know when I complain to the better business bureau they will likely lie and apologize as I would expect the same on here. Here goes nothing. At this point I will no longer use ATC or recommend the company. I have found a company that will offer maintenance at a better price and they also listened to my concerns.

It was good. They were on time, professional and cleaned up after themselves. Very courteous technicians!

It was excellent, they showed up when they said they will. They left everything clean. I couldn't ask for more better service.

Air Around the Clock is a reprehensible complete rip-off company. The use bait and switch techniques and do inferior work. Initially, they installed a crappy air handler motor they said was cheaper but performed the same as the correct motor. It took three attempts to fix a simple fan motor on the air handler. The first motor installed sounded like a NASCAR in my home. The correct motor, installed on the 3rd service call, listed at $350 on Amazon, which they invoiced me for over $1,100.00. They tried to extort more money from me to install the correct motor. I grossly overpaid them in the first place as they threaten to remove the motor, wouldn't leave until I gave them a credit card, and even after they set our house on fire then threatened to put a lean on my home if we didn’t pay. Their technicians are untrained morons that can't even weld copper without setting the carpet on fire. Imagine using plastic tarp to protect that carpet from welding sparks and heat. Air Around the Clock has yet to resolve our issue after 5 months of making excuses. After the third repair attempt, their "technician" Stephen Jones set our carpet on fire with his torch. They have faked working with us to resolve the issue but after 5 months they keep making excuses and the carpet is still un-repaired. They are a reprehensible company, I'm not sure how they have a better Business Bureau endorsement. Their supervisor Don Barber has been to our house to examine the damage several times, he just says they will fix it next week. This "next week" has turned into 5 months of BS. We held payment through the credit card company for the two-month period which they were waiting to expire, after they received their payment, they had no intention of fixing their egregious, malicious, destruction of our house. Air Around the Clock treated us like criminals, threatened us with a lean on our home, and has failed to correct their mistake after 5 months of making excuses. They are complete thugs…avoid at all cost!

It was fine. It went well.

They are a good company. They did a service call, but I also got my air conditioning through them. I am not on a contract with them. 

They're fine. I have no issues with them.

The system was available and workers were rounded up (I think one had the day off even) and the system was installed (after the unintentional death of a snake residing under the outside unit) and running before the day was done.

I have absolutely no complaints. They are wonderful. I think it's a national company but they are local franchises. They did a great job. They are very very well trained and everybody speaks English. I know it was expensive because of the air handler. They came out and did the estimate thing and then came back when they got the part. They were very efficient. They kept us very well informed and when they got the part they let us know the guy would be out the next day. 

They're great. We've used them for years.

They do good work but it is pricey.

We had problems with the instillation of the unit. Someone was out here yesterday. I have no choice but to use them. 2 workers took 3 hours.

They installed 2 A/C units. Not sure if I would use them again. 4 or 5 workers. They've had to come out a few times so right now, I'm a bit upset with them. When they first came out it was a half day job. Maybe 4 hours.

They had quality service and very punctual
