This is an untrustworthy roofing company, particularly the owner, based on their workmanship and honoring contracts. They installed the roof on my home in 2012, and since then, there have been three significant leaks in different areas. After trying MANY times to have them come by to assess the damage and fix the issues, the only thing that happened was their owner, Charlie Fox, ignoring my texts, calls and emails. In the end, the cost to fix the roof that should be covered under their 10-year warranty has exceeded $5,000 out our own pockets, and I'm certain based on their poor skills with roofs, more leaks are soon to follow. It really is amazing how little they care about their customers. If you want a roof that will fail years after being installed and a company ran by untrustworthy people who will NOT honor their contract, these are your guys.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...from missed appointments… to two times failing to make the proper repair… to not returning calls… to now not honoring the warranty. We did our side of the transaction – we paid for what was in writing on the contract. The company has failed to live up to its end. Two times they have failed to repair the area of our roof they identified as the cause of the leak. The owner (Charlie Fox) is not responding to calls and is not honoring his company’s contract. A detailed complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau and we are in the process of determining the best approach to use the legal avenues available to us. The owner fails to return calls left with the office manager Felicia. The owner fails to return calls left on his cell phone. The owner fails to even correspond via text message. We have documented all of our correspondences from the initial calls in July, to the follow-up calls in August for the same problem now in September. Here’s an overview of our experiences. July - Leak in ceiling noticed (stain and water coming down from ceiling). Appointment scheduled by A&M Fox for quote. Worker (Terry) confirms appointment – then does not show up. We called office manager who didn’t know where the worker was and couldn’t reach him. We were finally able to reach worker and he claimed to be getting treated for shingles, didn’t feel well and fell asleep, but promised to come next day. He shows up next day, identifies cause of leak and says he can repair it now. He said he didn’t need any other company workers to do the repair. Since the company came on referral we decided to have him do the work. Worker explains he was able to patch up the problem, tells me there’s a six month warranty but we shouldn’t have any more issues. I requested that the warranty be listed on our invoice (which it was). We process full payment. August – the next time we get a rainstorm we need to get a bucket to place in the same spot of the leak we paid to have repaired. The next morning we call the A&M office and get voicemail. I contact the owner by cell. No returned call or return text. We call office later in the afternoon and get a person to answer. He says he can get someone out the next day. They send out the same worker from July. He goes on the roof and says “it looks like I didn’t get it all” and afterwards says “I covered the entire area so it shouldn’t come back.” September – the next time we get a rainstorm we need to get the bucket again as the same leak returns. We call the office and speak to the office manager. We request to have the owner call us and that either the owner or different workers get assigned to repair what obviously has not been repaired. The owner does not call us back, but instead a day later we get a call from the same worker who two times failed. I explain to him that I asked to talk to the owner and the worker goes on a rant with multiple excuses. After he was done talking I asked him to have the owner call me. Meanwhile, the owner has still not called, and no one else from the company's office has called to schedule another crew to repair the leak.

Got several quotes. Not only was his price fair, once his men started they were like clockwork. Charlie also made sure with my neighbours that they weren't bothered, and that his men were cleaning up each day.

Charlie Fox came highly recommended to my son, who also lives in Pompano Beach. A & M Fox Roofing replaced his roof and my son raved about the quality of the work and the price. We started having problems with out roof and I had Fox do the repairs. Charlie said at that time that I would save money if I just went ahead and replaced it all. A few month later we had another leak and again I had Fox take care of it. Both times the work was done well and at a good price. When we had still another leak in another part of the roof I saw I needed to bite the bullet and get it all replaced.
I live in a small development and every roof has had to be replaced within the last two or three years. The original work was done very poorly -- just a disaster waiting to happen.
I talked to a neighbor who has an identical floor plan to ours and he said he had had three or four quotes and went with the most aggressive bidder at $17,500. He was convinced by his roofer to have the tiles screwed into the deck rather than glued down, which I later learned saved the roofer over $1,250 and is not a good approach. (A city building inspector said nails or screws invariably, in time, result in leaks.)
Charlie, for $4,000. less -- $13.500 -- provided us with a gorgeous, very high quality barrel tile roof. The entire process was perfectly handled. In observing the process day to day I could tell that everything was being done exactly right. (I did a good deal of development of commercial buildings years ago and am used to observing work in progress. Rarely have I observed a crew that performed better.
The project was completed a little over a year ago and we have received many compliments. It looks great and we are secure in the knowledge that our roof will be good for many, many years.
I have recommended A & M Roofing to a number of people both for quality and price. You can't get a better combination than that.

As usual I wanted to do my research before I called anyone. So I brushed up on roofing before I even called anyone for a quote. I called quite a few companies for their recommendation on what needed to be done to fix the leak. One company actually wanted to charge me $6000 to replace the entire one side of my tile roof to stop the leak!! Since I knew what I needed I could smell the scam a mile away and didn’t hire them. You can read about that in my other review so you know who to stay away from.
Fox roofing was highly recommended by a friend who is just as through as me when hiring contractors so I gave them a call. Charlie gave me an estimate of anywhere from $750-$1500 to fix the leak depending on how much work needed to be done once he lifted up the tiles. This was the lowest price I had gotten. Plus he was very through with looking over the roof before he recommended this repair. I fully expected to pay $1500 since there is no way for me to determine what he considered a "lot" of work.
His roofers showed up the next day and lifted up the tiles. When Charlie showed up I asked him how much it would cost. To my surprise he said it would only be $750! They finished the work on time, did a good job with the clean up and left. I also got a 1 year warranty on the work in case it leaked again. They were a very professional set of guys and very honest. To think if I didn’t know any better I would have paid 6K! I highly recommend them.

It went great. They were very nice. They sent me a written estimate very quickly. The workers were very courteous and respected my house like they would respect their house.

I called several companies to get estimates and only two companies responded. It took one of those companies a while to get back to me and by then I had already hired this company. They gave me a good price. They did have to come back to repair another leak in the same area, but he did not charge me.

We were very satisfied with the job that this company did. They laid down the new roof perfectly, were always prompt, and cleaned up afterwards as if they were never there.
