Don was phenomenal! The refrigerator broke down and a lot of food was at risk of spoiling so he fit us into his schedule and came out and did the work in an excellent and professional manner. He even went out of his way to get a better part for the refrigerator that he did not have on the truck. He left and came back promptly with the better more suitable part for our unit. I will absolutely use him again for any appliance needs.

Called in the morning and he was here early afternoon. He figured out the problem very quickly. Although there was nothing that he could do to fix it, I now know how to try to remedy the problem.

Was on time and the service was very quick. Price was fair and came highly recommend from friend is the business.

I am an out of state property owner. My tenant called late Sunday evening and informed me of the two issues. I called 3 providers on Angie's List. A1A confirmed they could do a same day service call (tenant was thrilled), the other two could not. Upon arrival he diagnosed the dryer issue as an obstructed vent. He corrected the issue in ten minutes. The ice maker (older fridge) needed parts and maintenence. Don had the ice maker making ice within the hour. My tenant and I could not have been more pleased. Monday's are my tenant's only day off and not having to wait another week was crucial. A1A's great service and more than fair price (Don chose not to charge for the dryer service) is an out of state property owner's dream. Don's contact info is logged in my Iphone for any future needs that may arise and I look forward to sharing his contact info with with my friends and family in South Florida.

Very smoothly. I phoned and was scheduled for the next morning. Mike came, was on time, professional, knowledgeable & courteous. He fixed my clothes washer in little more than an hour. I'm delighted & it works fine!

Our Maytag Centennial washer would not start -- engaged the start switch and nothing happened. Looking online, it looked like the lid switch might be bad. We debated trying to replace it ourselves, because the DIY process looked very easy, and the part itself was about $30. But we called Don, and he was so prompt and responsive (since he was in the area, he was able to get to our home in under 2 hours). It took him 5 minutes to diagnose the issue: several mechanisms were in failing state, but none needed to be immediately replaced (with some jiggling of wires, the washer was able to start).  He said we could replace all of the suspect parts, but that would run upwards of $300. For a machine that has never performed well (mind you, all of these parts have been replaced at least 3 times under extended warranty because the 5-year-old appliance -- to put it in laymen's terms -- is a piece of junk), we decided to continue with coaxing the old dame and begin to look into buying a new machine. Now here is where the real value of the very reasonable ($30) service charge comes. Don gave us highly beneficial, professional advice on what to look for in a new washer. It seems all of the new models have bells and whistles that make them susceptible to breakdown. Armed with this information, we are now shopping for a machine that with luck will last longer than 5 years. Most important of all, we now have our new appliance repairman, because I won't call anyone but Don the next time our son walks into the room saying, "The [fill in blank] is broken."

Don explained to us that it wasn't worth paying to get our dishwasher fixed.  We appreciated his honestly so much.  We decided to get a new dishwasher altogether.

Don answered the phone immediately, arranged for service within hours. Arrived on time. Fixed the problem in less than an hour. Fair price. Great outcome. No BS, no games. I highly recommend A1A / Don.

So nice to have a repairman who does what he says he's going to do when he says he's going to do it.
I initially called A-1-A on the morning of 4/3/14 and left a message asking for a call back. In less than 40 minutes my call was returned. I was told a repairman could be there that afternoon! Steve called back later to get the dryer model number so he could have the right part with him - our dryer is 14 years old. That really impressed me. He came on time, quickly fixed the dryer, and gave me a suggestion to make the lid to the soap container in dishwasher easier to close - of course when he was there it worked fine! He said if I wanted to replace the lid I'd have to replace the entire door to the dishwasher - expensive! Then he said I could avoid the problem by using dishwasher soap cubes that will last the entire wash cycle. Thus eliminating the need for a working lid. You just toss them into the bottom of the dishwasher .
I asked him to do an additional service I had not initially requested, which was to dislodge the lower oven drawer since an aide had stuffed it so full with pans that it got stuck and I couldn't open it. He opened it.

Dryer had a different problem June 2014. I again called A-1-A and got the same great help as before.
Will definitely return to A-1-A for any needed appliance repairs.

Since my refrigerator is only a couple of years old, I was happy that it didn't have to be replaced. Work was done professionally, competently and in a timely manner. What more can you ask for!

Ice was compacted between the bottom of the ice cube container and the dispenser in the door.

He is a stand up guy. He was on time. He comes in, does what he has to do, and his prices were very reasonable. I haven't had a problem with either since. He's a good man.

See above. What most impressed me was that he could have told me that it was a fauty switch controlling the water flow to the ice maker which would have been a pricey $ 200 for the mechanism alone. But he kept it to the true problem area which was a broken plastic tube caused by its proximity to the heat of the condenser. Good call.

Don came out within an hour of my calling. He repaired the problem and
cleaned up once he was done. I have used this gentleman several times before for my other appliance repairs and he always comes out immediately, like he were waiting for my call. Once he was home with a back injury but came out when I called with another gentleman and supervised the work. I feel like I get very personal service from Don. I would recommend him to anyone who asked.

Don is knowledgeable, polite and always has the necessary parts. I would not let anyone else touch my applicances.

It went really great. We thought he was really honest and we felt comfortable with him in our home. The price was very fair.

We absolutely could not remove the old water filter from the refrigerator. We called A-I-A. Don, the owner, called us back in a very short time, and responded to our home shortly thereafter. Of course, he remedied the problem in short order. It was a minor call to him, and he could have just ignored it. We appreciate that he did not, and was very nice and professional. We now know who we can call for appliance problems.

It went great. He was there in 20 minutes. Quickly found the issue. Had the parts and fixed it.
No mess.
No pumber's butt.

They came promptly in my tenant's condominium and repaired the washer. They took no longer than five to ten minutes to fix the issue. I think it was something I could have fixed myself and they charged me a lot but I think it was just for them to come out. I would not use them again because of the price.
