Steven Stier painted my bathtub on February 17, 2017, I paid $300 (Purchase order # 21640 for the job, after just 2 years the tub started to peel off, so I contacted him on August 17, 2019 to see about re-painting it. He came to my home and said he was going to do the job but he needed money for the paint. I gave him a bank of america check and he said he cannot take checks, only cash. So I gave him $45 cash for the paint and materials. After that he keep on canceling me and not coming to do the job. He would make excuses every time , promise something and then not delivering. I contacted him again and asked for my money back (not even the $300 I originally paid) just the $45 for the paint. Is been more than one month and every day I text him it's the same, he makes a promise to come to my home and give me my money back and then he never shows up. Today is September 28, 2019, He promised to come today to give me my money back. I text him and called him to no response. I had it.

I contacted Steve in December to get the bathrooms updated. He arrived on the day we agreed to, and proceeded to commece work. On the second day he professed to me he was feeling ill, and it may take a day longer than we agreed to. No problems yet. I told him ahead of time that I wanted the toilet paper holder (tile) to be painted white and the toothbrush holder (tile) to be removed. He removed the toilet paper holder and painted the toothbrush holder. I mentioned this to him, and he said he would remove the toothbrush holder. Nothing about the toilet paper holder being in 1,000 pieces. Not a major issue yet. After he repaired the holes from the 2 items, it looked like a mess. He had to go back and repaint those areas a week later, but now they do not match the rest of the bathroom (the pattern is off now). Still, not the end of the world, but I have less confidence in him now. He said he was going to use a High Quality paint on the shower, and he wound up using some cheap stuff from Home Depot on it.
Please keep in mind that I had to make a $600 down payment, and pay the balance on the day he said the work was done. When I paid the down payment, he said he ran out of invoices, and scribbled a make-shift receipt onto an old invoice from somewhere else. I never received a proper invoice, and I paid in cash.
1 month later, all of the paint has peeled off of the tub. I called Steve, and he said he could re-do it for me. He did not show up for the appointment we made. I called him again, and we rescheduled. Another no-show. I called again, and he sceduled me for after Passover week. Now it has been 4 months, and my bathtub looks worse than ever. Steve, you are still a no-show.

The sink looks worse than before and it's still peeling.  He wrote on the contract that it was his fault, he would re-do the work for free. He verbally said it is my fault, and he is not going to do anything about it.  I called him many times and left messages and he never called me back.

When he left, I saw that the sink was bubbling.  I called him back and he said that he would come back and do it again.  He came back and sanded it down and painted it.  Three days later it started to peel again.  When I called him back, he yelled at me and said it was my fault.
