Greenstone Concrete Designs

I needed to replace my old Corian countertops in my kitchen but was running into problems finding something that would fit in, design-wise, with the cabinets, backsplash and flooring, which I had no intention of changing. I tried granite, quartz, Silestone without any luck. Finally I circled back to Corian, which I really didn't want, but at least it came in a color I could work with. I have long been interested in concrete countertops but couldn't find someone I felt confident with to do them except for my friend, Pat Scimone-Almasy, who did my concrete stained floors but does not do countertops. Then I came across GreenStone and gave Tim a call. He came out within a couple of days to scope out the project. I received an estimate the next day. A few days after we signed the contract Luke came out to measure and build a template. He's young but obviously old school when it comes to "measure twice, cut once". He was meticulous. Next they made samples of variations in the color I had selected so that I could choose. Yesterday Luke and Jay installed my beautiful concrete countertops and Tim dropped by to give his seal of approval. They are perfect. I am even starting to like my cabinets and backsplash now that they're not being brought down by the ugly Corian. BTW--concrete countertops aren't cheap, but they aren't much more than Corian--and they are so much cooler. I even have a built in stainless steel trivet and a drainboard. p.s.
