Since he died at home late at night, I called Pet Angel since the Angie's List listing said they had 24 hour service. Unfortunately, their 24 hour line voice mail box was full, and I was not able to leave a request for pickup at our home, but left a message on their regular line, and Bill did call me back early Sunday morning. We arranged to deliver our dog to their facility during their Sunday afternoon hours (he was small enough we did not require pick up, but they would have done so if needed.) Hanna was very caring and professional, and although several options were offered to us, I never felt pressured to buy any extra services I didn't want. She and Bill both called us during the processing of the cremains to double check on the disposition of things such as a sweater, blanket, and collar, and to let us know when the cremains were ready. We had a private cremation (under 40lbs), and asked for a keepsake paw print casting. We opted not to purchase the package which also included a wooden cremain box, but that package was reasonably priced, based on what I've heard from friends who have used other services.

They were very thoughtful. It took them three days for them to get the ashes back to me. Their information is fabulous. They have wonderful books on your choices and grieving options. I was not that crazy about the finished product though.

When our 11 year old Scottish Terrier became terminally ill, I contacted Pet Angel Memorial Center and found out that they will come to your house or to the vet's office when your pet dies. It's like a pet funeral home and they are available 24/7. When our beloved dog died, Bill & Lorri came to our house (early on a Sunday morning) and were incredibly kind. They treated him with respect and were so comforting to us. They even called later in the day to make sure we were alright. I recommend this company to anyone who loves their pet.
