We were hesitant to use any cleaning service but after speaking with several companies we decided to try Merry Maids. It was reassuring they actually came out to do a walk through versus giving an estimate based solely on house square footage. They do an EXCELLENT job. They confirm the day before so you can remember to turn off the alarm, arrive on time, and do a thorough cleaning. If you have any issues or concerns they are responsive. I highly recommend them.
they were prompt and courteous. Quoted a range of the price over the phone even though they did not come to the house for a visual of home. Afterwards the bill was "capped" at $535 due to extra help needed for dusting but settled on the high end of the quote approximately $400. I felt awkward. I received a call early on in the cleaning process to alert me the kitchen was more work than anticipated and cost would be more to clean cabinets. I asked not to clean cabinets and was told it was all or nothing.
"Customer had an original price of $799.00. We did the initial cleaning on a Thursday and the customer called us on a Monday to say he was not completely happy with the service. We only have a 24 hour guarantee for our services but I sent out my inspector to the home to see what we could do to make things better. After taking care of all the things they were not happy with, we were told that she did a great job. The things that they had her redo were things that were not priced originally but we took care of it anyway. Cusotmer also complained that the A/C unit was not working and that it was our fault. When we were cleaning the home it was very hot inside the house but I could not say it was not our fault so I discounted there cleaning another $300.00. I was told that was what it would cost to fix the problem. We did everything we could to make this cusotmer happy and after each thing was done we checked with them to make sure it was to thier satisfaction and the customer said they were happy with the results. I feel we did $799.00 worth of service for $450.00 because they also had a $50.00 coupon that I honored."

"We are sorry to hear that a customer was not satisfied with us. We tried very hard to resolve all issues, the supervisor was sent periodically to make sure customer was satisfied. At the initial estimate the customer was advised that her floors would be a challenge due to age and condition but that we would try our best. We tried several different methods and thought we had found the correct method when customer stated floors looked better. We take complaints very seriously and try to resolve any issues immediately. We are sorry we were unable to work things out with this customer."
